We've rebuilt search across WDWMAGIC from the ground up, and it now covers far more than news. Whether you're looking for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party coverage, a photo of a long-gone attraction, or every location on property serving a Dole Whip, it's all one search box away.

One search for the whole site

Tap the magnifying glass anywhere on the main WDWMAGIC.COM site and start typing. Results appear instantly as you type, and now cover:
  • More than 18,000 news articles spanning three decades of Disney World coverage
  • Every attraction, restaurant, resort, and shop — including closed and former locations, so a search for a classic like Reflections of Earth or Muppetvision 3D takes you right to its page
  • 7,500+ photo galleries and hundreds of videos
  • Current restaurant menus, right down to individual dishes
  • Active forum discussions from the WDWMAGIC community
Use the tabs under the search box — News, Places, Photos, Videos, Menus, Forums — to narrow things down, and flip between Relevance and Newest depending on whether you want the best match or the latest developments.

A few things the new search is smart about:
  • Typos are fine. "Contemporery" finds the Contemporary.
  • Fan shorthand works. Try MNSSHP, ROTR, FOP, 7DMT — or resort nicknames like the Poly, GF, or BLT. The search speaks fluent Disney fan.
  • Punctuation doesn't matter. "Not-So-Scary" and "not so scary" find the same.

A dedicated dining search, down to the dish

Head to the Dining page and you'll find a new search box that goes deeper than any dining tool we've offered before. It searches every current menu at Walt Disney World — more than 23,000 dishes across 400+ menus — with prices, constantly updated.

Some searches to try:
  • A specific craving: "dole whip" shows every location serving one right now — including a few you probably didn't know about. "Crab cake" turns up all 27 of them, from a $13 appetizer to brunch Benedicts.
  • A cuisine: "African food" finds Boma, Tiffins, Nomad Lounge, and more — even where the restaurant's name doesn't give it away. Italian, sushi, Mexican, Mediterranean, and 20 other cuisines work the same way.
  • A style of meal: "character dining," "buffet," "signature dining," "prix fixe," "dinner show" — or practical searches like "mobile order."
  • A restaurant: type a name and jump straight to its page and menus.
Every dish result links directly to that item on the restaurant's current menu — the right meal period and all — so you're one click from the full context. Results show which meals each dish is served at, its menu section, and its price.

Is there a link to the search page that looks like the one you posted above, or is it the usual all-site search pictured here...

Not currently. Is that a preferred option?
The current look of the pan-searching page looks a bit... first-drafty. 😁

Compare that to the more polished look of the News page.

It also makes it look like I need to click on one of the subcategories first.

So, initially I was just wondering if a planned new-look was supposed to be in effect based on the News article mock-up, and it didn't properly launch. But, since you ask... A more friendly UX would be nice, but certainly not a high priority.
