Wdw traditions

We have to have a Mickey Mouse ice cream for our very first snack and I take a picture of my husband and daughter eating them.

A weird one is when we get into the elevator at POP we each yell out a food on the poster. We do it every single time we get on it.

We always go in Oct. so we like to spend one night in Epcot where we don't go on rides, but take a stroll around the world showcase trying food and beverages from around the world.

well I guess the few traditions that my family has is we ALWAYS eat at Tony's, and I always get a photo album with the current year on it.

However, our last trip it was just me & the teenagers, and we skipped Tony's.......and I forgot to get my album:(......thanks to ebay I now own one, but hate that we skipped Tony's!!

Me and my girlfriend always go to animal kingdom day 1, right after we check in. It has never failed us once. Animal kingdom is the one park you can go to 3 hours before close and barely wait for rides. Plus we always have to get started with a cocktail at the dawa bar!

We always stay at the Wilderness Lodge. And we beg, fight, wheedle, cry, do a room transfer... ANYTHING to get into the 6004 thru 6018 block of rooms.

That's the area that our dearest Mousekeeper Livis takes care of. She is not just a Mousekeeper... she is our dear friend. She's been watching after us twice a year since our honeymoon in 2005 :).

Love this!

It's never been actually declared a tradition, but it's always been understood without speaking it. After checking in, we head directly to MK and jump on the TTA. It's almost like it hasn't hit us that we are there until we hear "Nooooow approaching...Space Mountain!!" Then, it's over to Casey's for a hot dog. After that it's whatever we want until Spectro/Wishes. First and last nights are always at the MK.

'Ohana has always been our first night dinner, which we are breaking on this last minute trip. We'll just have to substitute that with a dole whip :slurp:

We always hit Magic Kingdom first and head straight to Mickey's Philharmagic (I just love it !!) ... then on our last night we do Mickey's Philharmagic again and watch the fireworks.

Then I stare whistfully at the castle for awhile on my way out and cry while my son is embarassed to be seen with me because people are staring !! :ROFLOL:

Haha! I can relate. I sobbed on the way back to the buses for the final time on our last trip. I put my sunglasses on because I was kind of embarrassed at myself.

We always do MK the last day... And always do the PeopleMover first ride of the day. We also always watch the parade on Main St, usually around the central hub. I can't think of a better way to end the vacation than with Spectro/MSEP and Wishes :)

We always get a Christmas ornament and photo album with the year on it. We also do at least one character meal, usually breakfast. Even though we never have anyone under the age of 20 with us, it's still a tradition and we love the characters! We also always eat lunch at Le Cellier in Epcot.

Also, for the past 10 years, I've always been chosen as an extra for the Indiana Jones stunt show at DHS. My family and I consider it a tradition, some people might not since I really cant control whether I get chosen or not but I've been lucky so far! :animwink:

Same here. AK can be done quickly then it's out of the way. I never spend more than 5 hours there. It's always our first park.

The only real tradition that I can think of that is done every single time is before we leave EPCOT, we may ride SSE 9 or 10 times per trip. Regardless of how many times we did it that day or other days...we always do it before we leave that park. It's been my favorite in EPCOT since my first trip!

We try to surprise the girls (19 & 16) with something different each year. 2 years ago the surprise was leaving a day early and going to the Pirates League! Last year was the car service and forgetting (WINK WINK) the yellow luggage tags!! And this years is going on the DREAM!!!!

I always go to Magic Kingdom for our first park. Nothing starts the magic like a visit to a Fairytale land!! We always start in Adventureland and make our way around the park. Not sure why we choose Adventureland but we just naturally go that way!!

Also, I always wait 2 hours for Fantasmic when visiting DHS. We get the best seats and eat popcorn!

We always eat dinner our first night at the Big River Grill. After dinner we head over to the MK for EMH. On our last day we always se the afternoon parade and then head back to the hotel for our ME to the airport.

We have two.

We have to get a family picture done in front of the castle from the rose garden. That spot really does make for the nicest pictures!

The last day I love to ride Pirates of the Carribean for our last ride, if there is time we'll get some hot dogs at Caseys and then a Dole Whip and walk down Main Street and say good-bye. Usually we take an evening flight out but this next trip our flight is at 1:40. I figure with MSE picking us up at 10:30 we will not have time to do this tradition :( Kind of bummed.

Well we always have to have dinner at Liberty Tree and it seems that every time my sister and I go it is sunny out when we go for dinner and by the time we are finished it is always pouring to the point where you can't see out the door and while everyone waits in the lobby we always bear the rain and go on haunted mansion

EGAD- we are changing our tradition for the first time in more years than i can remember. and maybe now you made me reconsider. tradition is important.
we always go to the hotel, check in, swim, enjoy and then go to Rose and Crown for dinner and watch illuminations from there. this time we decided to try the new hacienda de san angel. sounded like a good idea at the time..........it's still dinner and illuminations. but not our TRADITION. hhhmmmm........

My tradition is, every year I choose to sponsor at least one family to a trip to Disney World or Disneyland from the Make A Wish Foundation, and I go all out for their enjoyment.

Jimmy Thick- baby baby, I'm gonna leave you...
