What Traditions do you and your family have when you make retrurn visits. We always make 5pm HoopDeeDoo our first night dinner. Always starts our vacation on happy note, been going 25 years strong and practically NOTHING has changed about it!
Then we take in 9pm parade at Magic Kingdom, with dessert of Dole Whip...Thats our Tradition every first night. How bout yours????

Our first park is always MK and we always do the Hoop dee Doo our first full day there. Everything else can be moved around - but those two are our traditions.

We always make the MK the first park we visit and the last. Not too mention the last night in the parks we always hang out at the MK. Our last day we always have Breakfast at Crystal Palace as well.

We always make sure to take in the fireworks at the MK - even if the crowds threaten to cruch us in the process! :ROFLOL:

We always hit Chef Mickeys the first morning we head to Epcot...

We always stay at the Wilderness Lodge. And we beg, fight, wheedle, cry, do a room transfer... ANYTHING to get into the 6004 thru 6018 block of rooms.

That's the area that our dearest Mousekeeper Livis takes care of. She is not just a Mousekeeper... she is our dear friend. She's been watching after us twice a year since our honeymoon in 2005 .

That's sweet! My family traditionally eats at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast on the first day and then take the monorail to MK. And I'll get to do that in 38 days!!

As soon as we are checked in, we head for the Magic Kingdom and ride the train. Just have to get that first all alround view of the park, then we hit the ground running!

We always get an early flight into MCO and breakfast at Seattles before getting on the express. Dinner the first night is always Cape May buffet. We normally stay at yacht or beach so if worn out from travel we are close to home. No matter how tired, I try not to miss the fireworks at epcot, find the short walk back very relaxing.
Spirit air is also a tradition, crew on late flight out of MCO to ACY is going home and do their best to be on time.

We always go to MK the first day and ride Potc first. MK is also the park we hit on our last day. Besides that we try to eat at atleast one of our favorite places, usually more, but we also like to try new places. We always eat at Crystal Palace once during every trip.

I couldn't think of any traditions...and then I remembered the marathon Epcot Resort Circle Tour In The Rain.

Every trip my Mom and I head for a walk through the Epcot resorts. We usually start with Boardwalk.

Every single time we have done this...EVERY single trip...no matter which day, or month we do it...it has rained on us.

Sometimes a sprinkling, more often a huge downpour.

Often it will begin raining just as we duck into each resort hotel.....and then it lets up as soon as we have completed the circuit.

Or first day traditions are: check in (offsite), unpack, drive to Epcot, Spaceship Earth, Off Kilter (if their on the schedule), Test Track and back to our motel. Then the first full day is always Epcot and beginning with Spaceship Earth, then Test Track.....

We always buy a Christmas ornament no matter what month we visit.

We always take the ferry across the 7 Seas Lagoon in the morning on our first day at the Magic Kingdom.

Our tradition is to always go to MK first and ride Space Mountain first. We also have a tradition of eating at San Angel Inn and trying new ADRs every trip.

1900 Park Fare breakfast at one point during our stay...LOVE the Mad Hatter! We've been doing this 1999.

We also usually head to Magic Kingdom first and start out in Tomorrowland (the only time we didn't do this was our 2003 when we met friends at Epcot on our arrive day).

I guess our only tradition is to get the magnet with the year on it and to get a new Christmas ornament.

EPCOT is my first day park and I traditionally have lunch at Coral Reef the first day. Test Track is also my first ride of each trip.

We discuss as a family which ride we want to start our trip. Each year it has to be different from all other years...its how we define each trip when we talk about our trips. A couple of rules...1. the ride has to be a classic ride (i.e. POTC, SSE, CoP...) 2. It cant be a starter from other years. 3. once a list of 10 is reached, if possible, each person ranks their vote from one to 10....10 being the most desirable. All votes for each one are added up and the highest score wins.
