WDW Pirates question.

As we know in 2006 both DL and WDW's Pirates of the Caribbean got updates to tie in with the POTC movie franchise.

I was curious seeing as how the original "Transition Tunnel" dialogue returned at DL, does anyone know if the abbreviated version that used to be in the MK version prior to 2006 has been restored as well since then? I recall that it was still missing when I last experienced the attraction in 2019

Are you referring to right before the fortress battle where on the DL version there's some voices and then the guy on the left that goes from skeleton to a full pirate?

This does not exist at WDW.

An abbreviated edit of it did used to exist at WDW, it was removed in 2006 when Sparrow came in. Admittedly it never really made sense in that context, I am unsure whether it has come back at any point since 2019. I do know that the Davy Jones/Blackbeard "Marketing Mist" was removed from Florida during that time much to my delight.

It definitely does not exist in WDW.

I don't really remember it from 2006 because I would have been 11 years old, but I am SOOOO familiar with the DL version that I know for a fact that it does not exist at WDW, aka cliff notes POTC.

(For context, last May, I went on the DL POTC about six or seven times during my trip. I have been on the WDW version three times since then...and I've been to WDW twice since that trip. I am in DL and NOT happy that POTC is down for refurb, haha).

an edited version of it did indeed once exist in Florida prior to 2006, You can watch any ride through video of MK's POTC from before 2006 to confirm that. My gut feeling is that they probably have not brought it back but I would like confirmation from someone who visits frequently

It certainly did. It did get a bit messy though and often overlapped the old talking skull.

Far as I know it didn`t return. Didn`t fit the movie overlay overkill and wasn`t there on my last ride - albeit that was September 2024.

It really didn't make much sense to begin with, so I am actually happy its still gone. It was one of the few things about the 2006 refurb that was actually an improvement which is ironic because I feel that the MK version got the most damage from the 2006 refurbishment. admittedly some of it has been undone over the years but not all of it.
