One of numerous similar statues erected in the late 19th Century. They are located throughout New England, often in town squares, to honor those local soldiers who died in the "Great Rebellion". This one is in Camden, Maine.

It's often been said that Mad King Ludwig's, Neuschwanstein Castle was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.

It's often been said that Mad King Ludwig's, Neuschwanstein Castle was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.
I remember visiting this gorgeous castle as a child! Still in awe!

I spent a week traveling South through PA and onwards to Smoky Mountain NP via Shenandoah and the Skyline Drive. I hauled this 4x5 on the road.
