For what it's worth, the image used on social media advertising the casting call was the stilt walkers in Festival of the Lion King.

Yes, before the Maleficent dragon with or without Prince Philip wildly flailing his sword.
It's probably nice to have a stable of stilt walkers that can be deployed for different shows. May be also be helpful to help police walls of construction projects.

Yes, in addition to all the theme parks that hire specialty entertainment Orlando also attracts lots of large conventions and corporate events that like specialty entertainment.
