I'm trying to put together a list of some good counter service restaurants in WDW. My family and I are staying at Pop Century for 11 days in August and want to do 50/50 table and counter service restaurants. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Magic Kingdom:
Columbia Harbor House

Epcot:
Sunshine Seasons

DHS:
None. Don't eat at this park.

DAK:
Flame Tree Barbecue (though it used to be better)

Resorts...
I've always felt that Everything Pop was the best of the resort food courts.

I'd have to agree with a lot of the previous posts restaurant choices.

However, if you are into fish and chips, don't get them from Columbia Harbor House-- get them from the counter service at Great Britian. I will never get Harbor House fish and chips after eating at Great Britian!!

Sunshine Seasons is a great one at Epcot if you are on that side of the park. If not, all the counter service from the World Showcase is great. We really love the new Mexican counter-service restaurant.

Hollywood Studios counter service is a little limited. My kids are huge Toy Story fans, so we do have to hit Pizza Planet but that's all they have, pizza, and it's nothing special.

MK - Peco Bills (great Burgers)

DHS - Backlot Express is great, in fact we probably eat here twice during each trip. We love the sandwiches - especially the grilled veggie. Everyone who says that *all* of the counter services here are terrible probably haven't tried this one. The southwest salad is another winner here.

Epcot - Tangerine Cafe in Morocco - this is our favorite counter service hands down in all of WDW. The vegetarian plate is amazing.

DTD - Earl of Sandwich (everything is fantastic)

AK - Flame Tree BBQ - make sure you get the baked beans!

Pecos Bills-good burgers with an awesome toppings bar (sauteed onions, lettuce, tomatos, and the ubiquitous hot, yellow cheese :slurp:!)

Columbia Harbor House-The Lighthouse sandwich (hummus and broccoli (?) slaw) or the Anchor's Away sandwich (tuna) were both very yummy and very big sandwiches

Epcot
Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion-good hot breakfasts, very yummy seared tuna noodle salad, a mouth-watering array of desserts and lots of grab and go items. Has lots of variety and will likely satisfy everyone.

La Hacienda in Mexico-I liked the empanadas de queso (cheese filled fried dough!) but my children did not like the nachos.

Tangierine Cafe in Morroco-Very tasty shawarma platters with lots of different sides like hummus, tabouleh and couscous salad. Need adventurous eaters for this restaurant.

Animal Kingdom
Pizzafari-Everyone raves about Flametree BBQ, but I cannot stand the birds lurking everywhere and perching on my table :hurl:. Pizzafari has good pizza, decent salads that come with the pizza and a very yummy chocolate mousse. No the pizza is not handmade, but really folks, this is WDW counter service. My husband had the antipasto salad and loved it. The greatest draw of Pizzasafari is the amount of indoor seating and the cleanliness.

DTD
Earl of Sandwich-One of my favorite restaurants. Never had a bad meal here. Love the original sandwich, the caprese, even the kids grilled cheese. Extremely yummy tomato soup and awesome brownies for dessert.

Those are just a few.

Wow, got hungry just thinking about it.:slurp:

We love Flame Tree BBQ @ AK. In Epcot we really like the fish & chip place in Great Britain, and the bakery in Norway. As for MK it's gotta be the hot dog place on Main St. Sadly, there is nothing in DHS that we're really "in love" with.

As we park hop, we try to do most of our eating in Epcot, both counter and table service due to the variety.

DHS: If you are from NY or anywhere that you can get quality pizza, do NOT go to Toy Story Pizza. It's not even as good as Pizza Hut.

In my opinion, there are no "must-do" counter service eateries in WDW. Their fast food has gone down the crapper in the past 10 years.
