And all three were open at once believe it or not. There was never a period where TL was the “only” water park. Before BB, River Country was still open. In fact all three parks existed at once for a few years.

I wonder why they are excluding campsite guests. Seems gross…Disney has confirmed that free water park admission on check-in day will return in Summer 2027.
Note that next year, stays at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are excluded from the benefit:
This benefit will also be available for Guests staying at an eligible Disney Resorts Collection hotel in summer 2027, excluding the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Stay tuned for more information and dates.
Could be seeing this as a loophole where you can add 8 people to an $80 campsite reservation instead of paying to go to the water park per person. Back in the day I remember people saying they would make campsite reservations for 10 so they could get the on site fastpass reservation window while staying somewhere else.I wonder why they are excluding campsite guests. Seems gross…
Because people were booking campsites for less than $100 and getting 8 people in to a waterpark for free and then not even using the campsites. People figured out that even just a family of three would be better off buying a campsite they didn’t need than buying waterpark tickets.I wonder why they are excluding campsite guests. Seems gross…
Oh wow. That is wild. I guess that makes sense then…Because people were booking campsites for less than $100 and getting 8 people in to a waterpark for free and then not even using the campsites. People figured out that even just a family of three would be better off buying a campsite they didn’t need than buying waterpark tickets.

I agree and thought the same thing, but probably more aggravation than it's worth. Then they should have attached minimums to it vs excluding entire demos.
They could have but I’m sure it would not have made a difference. People here would have still complained if they singled out the campsites for a minimum number of nights. Then they should have attached minimums to it vs excluding entire demos.
Why?Then they should have attached minimums to it vs excluding entire demos.
I'm not advocating for forum users - I'm advocating for their actual paying guests they already have. The fact the company doesn't itself.. feels telling. They could have but I’m sure it would not have made a difference. People here would have still complained if they singled out the campsites for a minimum number of nights.
Why? So actual FW customers can get the same perk everyone else does. Why?
The campsites never close. Only the water parks close seasonally but the campsites are open year-round.Campsite guests are free to use the waterparks when they are closed ---sarcastic
Except when hurricanes pass throughThe campsites never close. Only the water parks close seasonally but the campsites are open year-round.

Sucks to be you, Ft. Wilderness campers. You really are at the bottom of the Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Humphrey totem pole.Disney has confirmed that free water park admission on check-in day will return in Summer 2027.

The majority of campsite guests weren’t utilizing this offer in the first place. Different demographic with different priorities than other WDW resort guests. Also the campsites don’t suffer from the same problem that inspired this offer originally. Why? So actual FW customers can get the same perk everyone else does.
It's not hard to identify ghost booking behaviors, nor is it extraordinarily difficult to systemize to eliminate the incentive. Give refunds at checkout.. Create minimum eligibility that makes it unattractive to do so.. lots of different ways you can make it less advantageous to abuse a perk in unintended ways.
I think you missed my meaning I know the campsites never close but the waterparks doThe campsites never close. Only the water parks close seasonally but the campsites are open year-round.
