Walking from Magic Kingdom Bus Drop to Contemporary... Bag Check?

This should be a relatively simple question that I'm hoping someone can provide a definitive answer to . On my upcoming trip, we are staying at AoA but are doing a breakfast at the Contemporary. If we opt to take Disney transport to get there, we were planning to take the bus to Magic Kingdom then walk to the Contemporary. My question is, given the current placement of the Magic Kingdom bus drop-off bag check area, would I need to go through security before I could get to the walking path over to the Contemporary, or does the walking path to the Contemporary branch off before the security check? Thanks in advance!

The walking path is before you get to security. On your walk back to the MK, you will go through a small security area on the walkway and will be cleared for entrance (bypassing the large security area).
