I have reservations at 12:15 in May. If I didn’t read this website, I wouldn’t know. Will I get a cancellation email from Disney? Is this an official announcement? Lunch reservations are still being shown on the app.

That's a pretty short interval after opening. I wonder how much they skipped on the punch lists just to open on time ?

The Polynesian is about to have the Tiki Terrace, boat dock, and Wailulu mostly or completely closed. They're also working on the exterior of the big building and the parking lot. They couldn't have spaced these out a bit?

It's being reported that they are extending the roof because when it really pours, the bar area can get flooded so they are trying to prevent that with this work.

My 4:00 dinner reservations are still showing up and I have not heard anything from Disney?? I also checked and you can still make lunch reservations for the time slot during the supposed dining room closure?? I think Disney may have dropped the ball on this one. There's going to be a lot of unhappy diners who show up for their lunch reservations only to find they have to sit outside on some plastic chairs.
