Sulley is moving to Pixar Place so Ariel can move into Sulley’s place in WDP. I think the question is whether this contract work is to turn the VOTLM theater into a more permanent M&G for Ariel so that the M&G space in WDP can continue to be for “current” revolving projects.

This was a couple of weeks ago, but I think it should be placed in this thread for timeline sake... -

It won't let me post a link but <--- I see... is the site that cant be named. I get it now... posted a couple of weeks ago that Voyage is still being surveyed by guests.

No offense to the show and the cast, but I really want something new there.

They should’ve done this when they built MMRR and put it where Launch Bay is. This is where value Imagineering has gotten us
I think retiring TGMR was probably a priority (just to get out the licensing arrangements) and they just felt it made sense.

But TGMR with updates and MMRR at Launch Bay is somewhere in a wonderful alternate Universe, I know it.

Should have redone Animation Courtyard to open with MMRR. Put the new Mickey vacation short where Ariel was, our launch bay back to animation experience with drawing classes, reopen the shops including Art of Disney, all of that along with WDP you got a nice little Walt Disney animation “land” that makes sense, and could have been used to celebrate disney100

Star Wars Launch Bay makes no sense with Galaxy’s Edge now open, and that whole area is abandoned. It’s sad to walk through that area and think of what it once was. Last time I went in, a cast member and I just talked about what it used to be. Even when it was Star Was Launch Bay, there were Jawas and stuff and the area felt alive. It’s a sad rotting building now. The princess gift shop is sometimes open (pretty sure at least), but it makes no sense without VotLM. Even if the show wasn’t great, it brought people into that area.

Disney Junior Live on Stage is no more, though it makes sense given Disney Junior is now a struggling brand and has historically had a pretty high IP turnover rate (they have a dance party with more time-tested characters now it seems). All in all, the biggest draw seems to be the bathrooms during most of the day, and the CMs at the Launch Bay have no idea how the Launch Bay can hold on much longer without getting cut out. They need the offerings, but Launch Bay can’t draw guests with Galaxy’s Edge open… Hate to say it but I don’t know how they revive this land without tearing it all down (besides Walt Disney Presents) and starting from scratch. Disney won’t bring back drawing classes unless it’s in a random back corner of a park themed to animals and conservation, so I doubt they would make Animation Courtyard, well, Animation again. That’s my dream though, even though I know it could never happen…

Not really a new short, but the montage… I’m still sad it’s just a montage 😞

I'm still hoping for a new land to replace this area. Love the show, but this section has always been underutilized. It doesn't seem to fit the park anymore as well. It looks like Hollywood is going more land based.

Same goes for Echo Lake.

I disagree with Echo Lake being removed. It distinctly fits in the park with its 1950's California theme which fits with the whole Hollywood theme that the park once was (and arguably still does).
