Volvo's "Pure Mode" (video included)

Recently I've noticed Volvo's commercials for its "Plug in Hybrid" vehicles that can "go up to 35 miles in PURE MODE".
What does that mean!?

Sounds like it's like my Wrangler 4XE. You have the option of Hybrid, Electric-Save, and All-Electric mode.
I get roughly 25miles of "all-electric." which isn't really that much but I didn't get it for that, I got it for the extra torque.

That means that they copied the Chevy Volt's technology years after GM discontinued it.

Sounds like it's like my Wrangler 4XE. You have the option of Hybrid, Electric-Save, and All-Electric mode.
I get roughly 25miles of "all-electric." which isn't really that much but I didn't get it for that, I got it for the extra torque.

People get them here for that, and for toll-free access to I-95 express lanes.
