Without a VQ Tapu Tapu, where will the 2hr queue for Krakatau line up??? They do not have the space? That queue is not set up for even one hour!

Seasonal closures for a Florida water park is bizarre to say the least. This combined with discontinuing the virtual queus makes me think they're having serious attendance woes.

Doesn't Volcano Bay close a lot over the Winter anyway for cold weather between October and March. I can see them closing in 2026 to give the park a refurb as it hasn't had an extended refurb since it opened. With the Disney waterparks, there are 2 and for the last 5 years have only been operating 1 at a time so they could refurb the other. Universal doesn't have that luxury so have just kept it open

VQ may be done just for that attraction during busy times using facial recognition rather than Tapu Tapu.
But, how do you know when it's time to ride? The Tapu Tapu acts as a countdown. I know the last thing I want to be doing whilst resting on a beach is counting in my head 30 mins to my ride on Krakatau

a sign out front of the attraction saying "Now serving 55-80?"
They can't just have 2-3 hours of people standing in line out into the park walkways.

Facial check-in. They make you take two laps in the lazy river...and then you can get in the line for Krakatau. 😂

It's the only water park that I'll set out a day to visit.

My September trip was four days and I think I did one afternoon visit and two morning visits. Early entry meant getting a lot done quickly and then went over to the theme parks.

It helps that I could walk to VB. At Disney getting to a water park makes it more of a full day commitment.

. I wouldn't be surprised if that didn't include Volcano Bay:
I remember double negative from English.

Are you saying you would be surprised if volcano bay was included in the list of parks getting new attractions?

It may be extremely difficult to add a new attraction without closing a portion of the park during construction.

Closing the park may be the best way to add and maintain
