Is visiting Disney hotels for a browse around and coffee allowed if you are not staying there?

We are staying at Whyndham Disney Springs but love visiting other hotels - not sure if this is permitted for Disney hotels?

Would love to explore Grand Floridian & Polynesian!

Absolutely it's allowed! You won't be able to get into the pool areas, but you can go and eat, shop, stroll around, do hidden Mickey hunts (WL, AKL both have good ones). Take part in resort activities, AKL has a ton of great things on through the day plus animal viewing, most resorts have campfires and movies under the stars.

AKL is obviously out of the way a bit, but so worth it.

A monorail tour of Contemporary, Poly and GF is easy. Take a boat to WL (from MK or more easily the Contemporary) - they have a geyser in the grounds and a stream that rises inside the beautiful lobby. Go kayaking or pony trekking or visit the horses at FW.

From Epcot, go out of the IG and stroll round the Boardwalk area. Visit the YC and BC, Swan and Dolphin.

Enjoy! :)

These are fantastic ideas , thank you. Any particular hotel coffee shops / cafes you recommend for a tasty snack?

Will definitely do the monorail tour.

I suppose if we visit a hotel by car we will have to pay guest parking so monorail a good option!

I love the cupcakes and a coffee at WL. Take them upstairs and find a rocking chair, or comfy sofa, above the main door of the resort. Good place to look at the carvings in a couple of the huge totem poles.

GF is a beautiful lobby, with it's birdcage elevator. Try and catch the orchestra/band and pianist. Also at 3pm Cinderella and Prince Charming appear and parade down the staircase, dance etc with the little "princesses". Really sweet.

Poly has a couple of lounges, one on the Terrace, if you want to go in an evening and watch the fireworks.

Beach Club has a lovely lounge, also a solarium to relax in with a coffee. Boardwalk bakery on the other side of the water.

You shouldn't have to pay for day parking. But at certain times it can be difficult, and they may not let you in without an ADR. Plus the monorail and boats are fun, so that would be my choice.

We love to lounge around at other resorts while at Disney. Take a cocktail hour at the Polynesian while visiting Magic Kingdom one day. It makes for a nice break from all the crowds.

Furthermore, we found resort concierge staff very happy to give room tours upon request. If you think you will be choosing to stay at a Disney resort in the future you may wish to give this a try.

WDW deluxe resorts are fantastic. Don’t be shy, go try them on for size.

Disney will never deny you an opportunity to spend more money anywhere on its property. If letting you walk around the Contemporary means you might have some drinks or lunch there...maybe rent a boat...even throw a couple of bucks down at the arcade, they'll welcome you with open arms.

Speaking of Contemporary, their cupcakes often kick butt too.

The wife and I will visit multiple resorts when we are going to the Christmas party. This is because we cant get into the park until four. The resorts look amazing during the holidays. We thought about doing this during Halloween but I don't think it would be a spectacular.
