Visiting different park before After Hours event

Hi all! I was wondering whether anyone knows if you can use a ticket at one park before going to an After Hours event at a different park. For example, on our trip this December we're looking to visit Hollywood Studios during the day before heading to Animal Kingdom for After Hours.

I read somewhere that once you scan to enter one park you can't do another that day without Park Hopper but wasn't sure that was applicable since After Hours is a hard-ticketed event. Any help is appreciated!

Park hopping has nothing to do with attending an after hours event. It's a completely different ticket that does not require separate park admission.

When I have the ticket for the MNSSHP you can enter the park at 4pm and the park closes at 6pm to guest without the ticket to MNSSHP.

One has nothing to do with the other.
So yes you can go to a park during the day with your park ticket and then the special event at another park with the special event ticket.
