I'm not going to write up a trip report since the captions for the pictures pretty much say what I want to say, but it was a very nice experience. Just getting to the park is a true get away. The park is located on it's own island, and you have to take a subway line just to get there. I don't think you could easily see any hotels or surrounding buildings (except for at the top of Tarzan's Treehouse), but you could see the mountains all around which does give you a feeling like you are in a inclusive resort.

The parade, Flights of Fantasy, was great, and higher quality than the parades WDW has currently (BPB was comparably fun, just not on the scale). Everything is new, and I don't feel like anything was lacking in quality. It was definitely fun to hear the characters and hear the finale of Small World in Chinese (I'm pretty sure it was Cantonese, the version of the language spoken in HK and south China).

In the end, for a first timer in a Disney park outside of Florida, I had a great experience on a very slow day. I waited no more than 10 minutes for everything, and got to do everything except for Stitch Encounter, Dumbo, and the train. I missed Art of Animation, which was located at the beginning of Main Street :veryconfu Oh, and Jungle Cruise has some really cool effects. :p

What a cool video! I've been curious about Hong Kong for quite sometime now, seeing as how it's the only MK-style park to have been given the DCA-Treatment when it came to the number of attractions. But I've always thought it looked really pretty and new as you said. From the video, everything seemd to be really fun and that parade looked AMAZING!
Was the golden Mickey Show inside of that Fantasyland Theatre? It seemed to be a pretty high-quality and enjoyable show (everything in the video seemed really high-quality actually).
Also, did you feel there was enough to do there, especially with only 10 minute waits?
How was the FOLK show compared to the one in DAK? I only ask bc I've heard it blows it out of the water...
And lastly, do you think you'll you be visiting again?

It was fun, and also my first look at a smaller castle. I like the Golden Mickey show, mostly because they put on a good effort, and it's just something new and different to watch. The only show currently with the characters or Disney music is Dream Along, right? Yeah, Golden Mickeys was refreshing. The parade was amazing too, I'm certainly not used to that scale. One week later in Disneyland CA, I was severely disappointed to see there are NO parades in CA.

There is enough to do there for one day, I couldn't do everything, even with short waits. Well, I couldn't do everything AND take my time anyway. Their Lion King was awesome, but I also think ours is awesome too, it's just different, and I was not expecting that. There is no tumble monkeys sequence, and the biggest difference I remember was how the floats moved to the middle and spun around the stage.

I'll visit again one day, but not for a long, long time, not unless someone wants to send me there :p

I visited Hong Kong Disneyland back in 2008, and it was definitely a different (not bad) experience. I've been to WDW 20+ times, and seeing the small castle was kind of a shock lol! All in all though, I was still impressed with everything. My favorite was the Jungle Cruise. My friends and I went on the English speaking part first (there's a line for English and a line for Cantonese), then got a kick out of going on the Cantonese side and not understanding anything lol! The trip wasn't planned, and we just happened to go because we were in Hong Kong at the time, but it was great. Once i figure out how to show pictures, I can upload the ones I have of around the park! :D

Very neat! Thanks for posting the pictures - it's so cool to see a different park.

PS: They're huge on Stitch, hey?

Glad to here you enjoyed we went in 2009 and had a great time my favourite things were the special mickey mouse subway trains they made you feel the excitement before you got to the park. I also loved the view looking down main street with the castle and the mountains in the background the only park you get that effect. I would also agree with you on Jungle Cruise its probably the best version right know and i also really liked their space mountain a bit wilder than the US versions. We hope to go back in the next few years once the new extensions are built some of the new rides look really good.
