Vimeo media link autoplays

This post has a vimeo media link and it automatically starts playing. It was a bit jarring to suddenly have music playing just by opening a thread.

Is there a way to have a vimeo video start in paused, like for youtube links? Thanks.

This might be platform/browser specific. It isn't doing it in Safari on MacOS, but is on Chrome. What are you using?

It happens on Chrome and FireFox and Edge.

For Chrome at least, it appears this will be fixed in Version 66, which should be out soon.

Heh, not your fault. It's something that should be dealt with before someone uses it to punk the forums with several really loud and obnoxious vimeos that all go off when you open the thread.

Good way for someone to get ignored, especially if it's off-topic and intentionally loud or obnoxious. Mistakes happen, but people do things on purpose too. I'm on a mac using safari, so it didn't autoplay for me.
