was there a couple of weeks ago, and mcdonald's was nowhere to be found. it's pretty much a chicken place now, wraps, sandwhiches, nuggets, but no mickey d's.

No. That re-opened earlier this year as the Golden Oak Outpost. It no longer serves McDonalds anymore either. It now serves chicken nuggets, chicken sandwiches and grilled chicken wraps. All Disney food however.

I jest, but I've had good ones and bad ones. My last one wasn't so good (though maybe temperature matters as it was only about 60 degrees and not great weather for a Dole Whip).
Anyway, to each their own we all love and hate different things.

Dirty little secret.........most of the most vocal complainers about WDW management are fully aware the investments they advocate are on the way as soon as DCA is mostly finished and (now) the economy recovers.
All their fussing does not amount to anything.
Removing McD's fries is a great decision. I love them but they don't belong in a Disney park IMHO.

The old fries were like "Heartstopper (BLT fries)" with bacon lettuce, tomato, and mayo, I believe. I think there was also other stuff. Then new are just re-named cheese fries with bacon. DECLINING BY DEGREES!!!!!
