It is the best place at Disney by far.... Nothing comes close.... It will cost you 400 or so after what you said...

California Grill (Contemporary), Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge) and Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge) are all rather "fancy" and typically highly-rated. There are also the other table-service options at GF -- I've always read great things about Narcoosee's and Citricos. I'm sure others can weigh in on some of the other higher-class options that won't cost you $300 apiece...

V&A is as fancy as it gets, but it comes at a price.

If you want something very nice, but not as spendy, you might want to check out Narcoossee's, The California Grill, Jiko, Sanna or Artist's Point.

Also remember that at V&As, a sport coat at the least is required for men with a dress or fancy pantsuit for women. I have always worn a suit and tie, and my wife wears an evening dress when we go. The food is absolutely amazing and is not simply "dining". It is an experience that is well worth the cost to us. We always do the wine flights, so our cost usually ends up at around $600-650 for the main dining room. The Queen Victoria Room or Chef's Table (our favorite!) will run closer to $800-850. If you just go with a few glasses of wine and beer, then you would be closer to $400-450.

I would agree with Master Yoda about the lesser choices. We have eaten at most of those, and they are excellent as well. We love Jiko's and California Grill! We just tried Sanaa last week and love it as well. If you are into steak, then you can't go wrong at Shula's.

I've been in the kitchen of 11 Madison and Per Se and it is so quiet... You are right about this.... I'm shocked V&A is not a 3 Michelin star restaurant.
The Michelin stars are only in New York, Chicago, and in/near San Francisco in this country. I cannot find them anywhere else. Since it is a 5 diamond restaurant, I cannot believe that it wouldn't rate 3 stars if it were rated by Michelin.

I think when my husband & I went to V&A last May the bill was just north of $500. We both did the wine flight, but that's when they still took TIW.

When eating in certain dining areas at Commander's Palace in NOLA, you get taken through the kitchen on the way to your table. Same thing - the kitchen is spotless & it's much quieter than you would expect.

Vegas as well, but you could be on to something.... I never really thought about it that way.... Bc it is as good as any place in the country... For sure...
