Using Chase Freedom Unlimited Travel Insurance + David's Rental?

Specific scenario: Have you used your Chase Freedom Unlimited card to purchase DVC points through David's and have had to cancel? It looks like the card offers $1500 per person reimbursement for prepaid expenses and not sure if anyone has this card and had to use their travel insurance before. TIA!

I have a Chase Sapphire Preferred and I called them with this exact question. Their response is that as long as lodging is purchased with the card, it's covered for the Trip Cancellation / Trip Interruption Insurance. I called because I heard some insurances don't offer coverage for timeshare rentals.

I believe your card and mine have the same coverage, just different limits.

I rented points from a company other than David's.
