Upgraded at the Contemporary this weekend for Night of Joy!

My brother is at the Contemporary this week for the www.experienceconference.com praise music leaders' conference, and I am flying down to join him on Friday, for the public part -- the two nights of "Night of Joy."

It's going to be fun and a nice spiritual getaway for me. But on top of that, he just texted me today to say that they had upgraded us from the garden room to a tower room on the Bay Lake side!! And still at the conference rate (about $150). How cool is that?!

Very nice.

I will only be there for three days, but I am looking forward to it. I love the Contemporary, I have only been able to afford the tower for one night many years ago.

Leaving tomorrow! Direct flight at 7 a.m. (arriving at 8:30 a.m. with Magical Express to the Contemporary). Woot! [By the way, they said that I would have to pick up my checked baggage and give it to them separately for them to take it later in a van to my room. Why is that? Is that unusual for Magical Express?]

Anyone else going to, or working the NoJ that night? I have read about the nightmares CMs experience sometimes (with some unruly youth that refuse to understand why their youth leader brought them), but I have never been. I most people remember why they are there at NoJ and treat CMs with dignity and respect.

My brother is enjoying the conference so far. I am also looking forward to just wandering around the Contemporary some, and probably renting a water mouse little speedboat. I love those things!
