Same as the Hunger Games, a land based on violence, death and incest just does not translate to a theme park.

Adult themed, Universal isn't a kiddie park any ways.

Hunger Games didn't even hold my interest. The first movie was ok but I didn't even watch all of the second one. Depressing pointless people. I thought the Divergent series was better then the Hunger Games and the Divergent movies were all gems.

Game of thrones has much more excitement going on. This season no one has even gotten raped. No incest either. GoT is really cleaning up it's image.

Pandora was Disney's answer to WWoHP. Whatever Universal builds next, Nintendoland or ???, will be a response to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Pandora has neither been a crazy fan success or even a home run critical success. I don't see Universal caring much about Pandora.

I think you'll see Uni respond to Magic Bands soonish though.

I just through this thread up for fun. Pandora is just an add on to AK.I do like what is going on in AK, just need to do something else other then Dinoland or whatever that mess is called?

Nintendo should be big for Universal, that's where the time, money and energy should be being spent at the moment.

A magic band like system would be easier to use along as it's not some evil marketing, tracking ploy. It does become a problem with a room card, express pass and a AP. Too many cards to hang on to. I would be fine if it was all on one card.

Think this season will be much less sex and love story lines. Well can't say they are any love story lines in GoT, more like encounters. LOL.

I'm thinking this season will mostly be about fighting, plotting and heroes coming forward. Going to be a bunch of death too.

I would LOVE to see Universal take a crack at a Game of Thrones Renaissance Faire-esque Summer festival type thing.

I was saying that when they build the 3rd gate, they should set up one of the expansion pads as a "Flex Events Field". Restrooms on both ends, and wired for AC. Perfect for Cosplay events, Pokemon, etc.

That would be a good idea to have an area for special events in the new land and fill the old parks up. I hope that is the plan, move what can be moved to the new land and just fill up the present land area all the way. Admin builds or anything not needed on site. I don't like the idea of doing the Disney bus shuffle. I'm not seeing any indication that Universal is worried about using buses or trying to do something else transportation wise if it can be done at all? I'm wondering what the plan is for the W-n-W hotels transportation wise. Seems to be buses.

Next season is the final season. But I agree. Way too late for anything for GOT.

Can't wait for the meet and greet brothels. :)

Someone should tell Disney the night is dark and full of terrors.

There is going to be a plot point, either in tonight's finale or early next season, that will definitely prove your words to be a bit untrue.

Does anyone honestly think that Universal needs an answer to Pandora? I don't think they are sweating over there. I think their focus is more on how to answer to SWL.

One-of-a-kind new coaster replacing Dragon Challenge, Super Mario Brothers area is planned and also the (more than likely) expansion of Diagon Alley into the Fear Factor theater area. And let's not forget all of the land they bought for a possible new future park over near I-Drive. With all of that on Universal's horizon, SWL and TSL seems like nothing big to deal with.

Not sure where you get your info but I'm just a causal watcher of GoT. Whatever happens happens.

Note that you're counting announcements and some rumors on the Universal side, yet not counting nearly everything announced, and no rumors, on Disney's side. Looking at them evenly, at what's been announced, it's closer than you paint it.

    announced for UO
    Fast and Furious Supercharged
    Potter coaster
    Super Nintendo World
    and restaurants/hotels/etc.

    announced for WDW
    Toy Story Land
    Star Wars Land
    Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway
    Tron Lightcycle Power Run
    Ratatouille Kitchen Calamity
    GotG coaster
    Main Street theater
    and restaurants/hotels/etc.

Add in rumors, but you have to at least say it's close.
