Twenty-four employees of Universal Orlando, mostly in its sales operations, lost their jobs Thursday in a restructuring the company said isn't related to the uncertainties at French parent Vivendi Universal.
The departures, which included several managers, sent rumors rippling through employee ranks that more are on the way. Spokesman Jim Canfield denied that.
