It’s not really a great facility for a dark ride. All of those columns you see get in the way.

A smaller type of attraction could work though.
It might not be possible... but those columns only seem to be under the skylight... which could make a pretty good indoor queue.

I do wonder what the rest of the building looks like on the inside:

I wouldn’t say that. They’re holding their own but that’s about it presently. Attendance certainly isn’t record breaking.
It seems like attendance is becoming only one metric to measure the success of a theme park. At the end of the day the bottom line is what counts and at that WDW is doing well, better than UOR at least.

It’s the only variable that’s a constant. If Disney charge more or has more spending per head than somewhere else then profits will increase. But if attendance drops at the same time eventually one will have to give and it won’t be attendance.

Yet another Stardust Racers lawsuit

After reading through the complaint, a mother is suing Universal and Mack Rides over injuries her son allegedly sustained on Stardust Racers on Oct. 13, 2025, shortly after the ride reopened following the September fatality.

She alleges the ride’s forces caused him to lose consciousness, leaving his head and upper body unsupported and allowing his head and face to strike the ride vehicle. The complaint claims permanent head, facial, orthopedic and spinal injuries. It includes an on-ride photo that she claims shows him unconscious.

The claims are negligence against Universal and both negligence and strict product liability against Mack. The argument is that the force profile and restraints were unsafe, warnings were inadequate, and the companies already knew about the alleged risk from the earlier death and other rider reports. It also challenges using a 48-inch height requirement without a minimum age or medical screening.

She’s seeking damages exceeding $50,000 and a jury trial. That isn’t a specified total payout demand.

These are allegations in the complaint. The attached filing doesn’t include either company’s response or medical and engineering evidence establishing the claims.

I'm sorry that a child got hurt riding the coaster. It's unfortunate that these incidents are happening.

I did see a theory online on why this is happening at Universal and not so much at regional parks that have similar intense coasters. A good example is what used to I305 at Kings Dominion
It's one of the most intense coasters in the world. Most people grey out on the first drop and not once has their been a lawsuit.

A lot of it is the Disney guest crossover. Many Disney guests are used to Disney level coasters. Many don't visit regional parks that much and don't have much experience with high Intense coasters.
