I haven't been to Universal since, well let's see, since they started building Island of Adventure. I am considering going but my only problem is motion sickness on simulator rides and some roller coasters. Would there be enough for me to do without simulator rides and a few coaster for 2 days?

I'm not sure if you can handle rides such as The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man or Transformers: The Ride, since they are more like screen based dark rides than motion simulators. I'll go ahead and include them in the list though. I've never heard of anyone getting nauseous on these who typically get nauseous on simulator rides.

Universal Studios

- Twister: Ride it Out
- Shrek 4-D
- Revenge of the Mummy
- Transformers: The Ride
- Disaster!
- Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue
- Men in Black: Alien Attack
- Kodos & Kang Twirl 'n' Hurl
- E.T. Adventure
- Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster
- Universal's Horror Make-Up Show
- Terminator 2:3D

Islands of Adventure

- The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
- Storm Force Acceletron
- Doctor Doom's Fear Fall
- Popeye & Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges
- Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls
- Jurassic Park River Adventure
- Camp Jurassic
- Jurassic Park Discovery Center
- Flight of the Hippogriff
- The 8th Voyage of Sinbad
- Poseidon's Fury
- The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride
- CaroSeussEl
- The Cat in the Hat
- One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Basically you're skipping Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, The Simpsons Ride, Hollywood Rip, Ride, RockIt, The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Dragon Challenge.

I'm a chicken with respect to coasters and many simulator rides but there was plenty for me to do at Uni. Ironically, I agreed to go on Cat In The Hat with DD thinking it would be nothing, but I got more nauseous on that ride than any other ride I've ever done except perhaps the Teacups at WDW! It might have had something to do with the fact that I had just eaten lunch, but I only mention it because it spins a lot more than I expected it to.

yea I too have a small problem with coasters at times, if its a hanging coaster I love riding them. Other coasters like for example the 'Griffon' on Bush Gardens WilliamsburgWilliamsburg have me taking one look and saying to myself no bloody way but the newer one called 'Verbolten' I just jumped on cause it replaced the Big Bad Wolf and said to myself why not and despite the sudden drop it has in the dark it takes place in I enjoyed. If the OP can see a doc and get something stronger then my advise is to take it and go on something light to begin with and hope for the best, then if the stuff works take a look at a more daring ride and say to themselves 'Why not?' btw check on youtube about those two coasters and you'd see what I'm talking about on the scare/wow factor

It'd be a shame to skip both Spidey and Forbidden Journey. So if the Dramamine doesn't work for you, I'd recommend trying Spider-man at least.

Really it's only the last 30 seconds or so (the section where you "levitate" and swoop around the city) that might get to you. As a ride, it bothers me less than Star Tours does. You could always close your eyes for that last section, too.

Potter/Forbidden Journey is more intense than Spider-man, although supposedly the ride's movements were recently reprogrammed so that it's a smoother ride.

As long as a coaster does not do a loop, I am fine. I was on a coaster in BG Virginia a while back. And I remember being upside down and looking at the sky. I remember my feet above me and that was it for me.... those loops.... Simulator rides are as bad. Body Wars that was at WDW got me. When I go on Star Tours at WDW, I don't look at the screen. I look at something within the cabin. Forget MS at WDW. I sit outside.

I will say that while straight simulator rides usually make me a little queasy, the Simpsons ride didn't bother me. The old Back to the Future ride on the other hand....

Could someone tell me if HP the actual ride is like Soarin at WDW or like ET at UNI or something you could compare it too? I was looking on youtube and the two films I watched were kinda dark. I am sitting and being moved all around?

It's sorta like a combination of those two rides.

It's a combination of simulation screens (like the one in Soarin') and physical sets (like those in ET). You start with your vehicle traveling through a physical set of the inside of Hogwarts, then you move to a screen that simulates flying around the outside of Hogwarts, then move to a physical set, followed by another screen, etc.

Youtube videos don't come close to doing it justice. It's very smartly designed to be a ride that you have to experience in person in order to get any idea what it's like.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey uses vehicles like those at Sum of All Thrills but on a track. It is intense and even when I take some motion sickness medicine the room is still spinning ever so slightly.
