Trip Report: Tampa Bay International Auto Show

Last Saturday I went to the Tampa Bay International Auto Show and looked at a lot of new 2009 models as well as some classics. I mainly went to look at cars I may wish to test drive next year but to also get the feel of the car and how it looks and sits.

The event was held at the Tampa Bay Convention Center in Down Town Tampa right off the waterfront.

I liked this car, but too expensive!

At the event they also had local radio stations do remotes and Uncle fester from the mj morning show(933fm) / Tony fatso from his cooking show (970am) was there!

off to the side they had another sponsor who restored the General Lee!

It was restored to how it looked like for the jump and for one other episode of the TV show.

before we left, my sister and her friend decided to test drive a GM

They had fun test driving a hybrid.

The Ford concept car is really strange looking! Did you get to see what is so different about it other than the looks?

Also I like the boots on that one girl you seemed to get in two of your pictures. :lol: Nice work.

The concept can was interesting.. lots of random stuff in it... didn't get to go in due to it was blocked off... I will have to look at last years photos to see if I have a concept art photo from then.

I believe there are a few other photos of the girl :lookaroun but they seem to not have gotten uploaded :lookaroun

The Ford Airstream has an LED video tube in it for entertainment (it's "screen saver" is an LED fireplace.)

Weird that they'd have the concept there and not the production model though.

Next time, take the CTS-V out for a spin at one of those test drives. Be sure to turn off the electronic nanny when you do so [the button is in the glove box] :lol::lookaroun

I don't know... I would have taken a car out for a spin... but I didn't have time.
