Trauma: Life in the ER

Friday at 8pm EST they are showing an episode filmed in Orlando where a family had a problem while on vacation to Disney. I just saw a comecil for it and they showed a little girl being carted into the ER. The announcer said something like....a vacation to the happiest place in the world causes a family to make a change of plans.

Just thought that if any CM's are around maybe they know what this could be about or know of the acci.dent??

I feel sorry for any family that would have to go through this on a vacation; I unfortunatly ruined our trip to Busch Gadens VA when I had a Gull Bladder Attack and had to spend the whole day in the ER with surgery cause of the severity of the problem. Talk about an "E" Ticket ride, ever be taken off a rollercoaster (Alpengeist), rushed through the park, and being taken away in an ambulance. I'm not upset about it though, I'm still here today. :sohappy:

Now for a positive note....Have you guys tried out the Stitch game yet I posted earlier. It is on the WDW website, goto destinations, then WDW. :drevil:

It sounds like one that has been on before...the little girl is found at the bottom of the pool at one of the resorts. I cant remember exactly what all happened, but I dont think it was fatal..thank goodness for that!!!

Serious accidents have happened. It's not much fun talking about them. There is a reason the cast members tell you to keep your hands inside the boat/vehicle, and the ODF vendors come though ahead of the carts and say "excuse us please." :)

Sounds sorta interesting. That's one of my favorite shows ( I want to be a doctor someday and trauma is one of the fields that interests me). I feel sorry for the family though. I'd hate for that to happen to anyone, especially on vacation. I'll have to watch it and see what happened.

We like to say we are the only free ride at Disney! Its an E Ticket with the lights and siren going!! :D Patients are always saying that their vacation is being ruined by them getting sick or injured. I remind them that their family thinks the patient's health is much more important than a vacation. Also dying on vacation would REALLY ruin the trip! Better to go to the ER for a medical emergency rather than risking your life to save a vacation. Priorities are sometimes hard to see when you are in the middle of a vacation.
