Maybe because they haven’t built this ride system before?I still don't understand why they had to build a test of a ride system they've built before.

I guess it was more convenient to build it near the construction area instead of having to create another construction area in the backstages. They probably wanted it to be built in Paris to avoid having to travel all time to USA to use the testing facilities of the imagineersAre we really pretending it’s not unusual for them to be testing a prototype ride system within guest view? I’ve never seen them do this.
The prototype is built backstage, I’d guess it’s about 200m away from a guest walkway it’s just visible from certain site lines through gaps in the tree line. And especially visible with a camera zoom. Are we really pretending it’s not unusual for them to be testing a prototype ride system within guest view? I’ve never seen them do this.
Unusual, I guess. Weird? Nah.Are we really pretending it’s not unusual for them to be testing a prototype ride system within guest view? I’ve never seen them do this.
There’s many reasons that they need to, most of which have been named here. It is not a clone of any other attraction, it’s a completely different design and construction team, and there are generally just different rules in place in 2026 than in the past in regards to safety requirements for attractions like this. They do this now to help guide them forward and then will test the actual system rigorously when it is in place.I still don't understand why they had to build a test of a ride system they've built before.
