Transferring Room Only Reservations

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to transfer a room only reservation? My friend may not be able to go and rather than cancelling all together, she was thinking of calling, putting me on the reservation as the primary, modifying the dates to fit my trip dates, and then taking herself off the reservation? She's a passholder but has a regular room only reservation - no dining or park tickets are associated with this reservation, simply, it's just the room.
Another question - since we're connected on mydisneyexperience (been on past trips together), is it possible to transfer fastpasses over to another connected family/friend or would I wait until she deletes her fastpass and just have to scoop them up quick?
Thanks for any help!

It would be much easier for you to make your own reservation, I see no benefit in attempting to do it the way you suggested, if it could even be done.

To answer the FP question.

You can change the party on the website, although I think on at least one version of the app it was discontinued.

As long as you’re linked on MDE, then she can modify each FP one at a time,, deselect herself and select you.

As for the reservation, she would need to phone. If she is the lead guests I don’t think she can be removed but she could add you to the room. As long as you’re not over the occupancy limit that is. And if it puts you over 2 adults in the room there would be an additional charge per night. Not sure if they can take her off at the front desk when you check in but it wouldn’t do any harm to ask.

Thank you for the replies. Yes, it's a reservation within the next month and the resort is completely sold out for the dates I wanted - I wouldn't be able to make my own reservation.

Thanks for the helpful advice! If I move forward, I'll call Disney. :]

It can’t be done but even if it could, if the resort is sold out for your dates, then there would be no room available anyway. Where do you think they would put you with the resort sold out? If there is a pass holder discount involved you definitely wouldn’t be eligible for that. I understand you said room only with no dining but she still may have booked with a pass holder discount. Anyway the resort reservation is a no go.
