How many of you like the new look of tomorrowland? I know I do. Although, I've met a few people who liked to old white look better. What do you think?

The new look represents the Jules Verne "imaginary feature". I don't see how it is any better than the original 60's "imaginary future". It only serves to make Space Mountain stand out and look weird. I wish they'd left it alone, I think it represented our heritage from the 50's and 60's, much like the new one represents our heritage from Jules Verne.

Well, take a look at some old pictures of it, because it looked really dated. Who wants a land that looks like 70s architecture? It looked so boring and uncreative. Now it looks great. I think that they'll update Space Mountain and make it look better.

I am going to preface my answer by saying that I answered the poll based on weather I liked the new look of tomorrowland as it is. I chose the original "White city" look that it has under the newer facade installed in the late 90s.

If Disney would have the budget I might not object to the Juels verne version design like they have in DL at DLP if they were to do in WDW what walt did twice at DL, and redo TL from the ground up. It's kinda too bad that disney is crying poor at this point, I think the lower attendance at MK would have veen a great oppertunity to fix TL. The one thing I would like to see chaged by a redo would to get rid of Videopolis. That building there in front of SM is totaly out of place with the rest of the architechure, Correct me If I'm wrong but I belive that Building was built before the make over, so it really Is out of place now, and they could have made SMs facade look like the one in DLP as to blend in with the rest of ther area. I also miss the spiring Monoliths that flanked either side if the hub entrance. Howerve the current TL theameing was a ________ poor job and not 100% compleate so I don't really care for it . If ther ever was a project that Disney really cut corners so bad that it was appaarent that they didn't compleatly think it out this is it.

Ok....now...if I were to look from the bridge into Tomorrowland...what would I rather see...the white "Tomorrowland" or the "New Tomorrowland" I would definitely have to pick the "New Tomorrowland"

Do I feel that it is incomplete? Yep...but it is still an improvement over the outdated "White Tomorrowland"

(Space Mountain is fine the way it is...I like the look of the "White Mountain" because it stands out from the rest of the "land")

While I'm usually disappointed when Disney changes things at the parks... I think this change was for the better. I think not only does it look better, but its better themed overall. ANother plus is that they don't have to keep updating it so much. Tokyo Disneyland's is the same as WDW's was in the 70's and 80's and it looks pretty stark.

Why did you bother to ask the question, then? You think it was uncreative? Sorry, I liked it. I think it's a vision of a future that never will be. It wasn't boring for me. If you're posting a poll asking opinions, you gotta cope with people that may not have the same opinion as you, and you shouldn't slam them for it.

I do like the new theme though i never got to see the origional :( only wen i was like 3 and i really can remember that... wonder why... Though wasn't the area called Discovery Land too?

As some people say the space mountain building does look a little out of place i love its shape and colour... if they were to change it i hope they would keep the origional shape atleast...

I like the newer look to Tomorrowland, but the one thing I miss, is the original voice on the People Mover ( TTA )

when it went past space mountain, it would tell you how tall the building stood, and then it would say "It's Florida's third tallest mountain, impressive, isn't it?"

Do you guys remember that?

Ok, I vote MKCustodial in the poll.:D
That wasn't a choice but I did a "write in".

MK, when I get my way someday and the "Fifth Park" is built it will be all the things they took away like Horizons. By the by, Horizons is in two scenes in the new Planning DVD.

I miss "Vault Disney" too. I loved watching Zorro.

New poll. Should "Vault Disney" be brought back? I vote aye. Polls are closed. The ayes have it.

And that's what the New Tomorrowland's theme is now. The old white one was a positive look at the futer. By the way, I was just pointing out to you how boring it looked. I wasn't saying, "Hey this is my thread! Agree with me, and I don' t care if
it's your opinion!" So, sorry about that.:o

By the way, Becky, you're getting the thread off task.

I voted for the New Tomorrowland, though I wish they would go all the way with it. Space Mtn. needs some blue neon and some paint.
By the way, it's not a Jules Verne theme, like Paris (the best of all) and DL (weak). Its more Buck Rogers.

All in all, its nothing a little "Tomorrowland 2055" wouldn't fix!

Sorry to go off topic...

Last month when I was there I was looking at SM when a crow landed on those pointy things at the top, and ruind the forced perspective look. It made SM look a lot shorter.

Anyways, space mountain needs a paint job. Since its white it gets dirty really fast, maybe colours like DL's would look better???
