Alamo Rent a Car has extended its marketing alliance with Walt Disney World and Disneyand in California. The agreement reaffirms Alamo's position as the official rental-car company of the two resorts and includes new marketing and promotions and special offers for Alamo and Disney customers.

Alamo will serve as the primary corporate sponsor of Mullholland Madness, a mini-roller-coaster ride at Disney's California Adventure Park and will sponsor the TOMORROWLAND TRANSIT AUTHORITY, which loops through the Space Mountain building at Disney World.

!! :)

That's a possibility - signs are a definite, I'm sure.

Who knows, but I hope they first fund the rehab of the Astro Orbiter so its planets spin. :zipit: (Sorry. HAD to include that.)

They probably won't let you on to TTA until you sign your name twenty six times on a rental sheet and pay $38.52 in assorted local sales taxes against using the TTA. You will have to check your TTA vehicle is in good condition and report any scratches on it prior to departure. You will be offered a special offer updrage to a SUV TTA vehicle for only $87.24 and will then have to spend five minutes explaining that you are happy with the standard TTA vehicle. You will also have to pay for additional electricity as the TTA will grind to a halt outside Space Mountain as your rental only included enough power to get it that far.

A wry parody there Barnum :D

I thought everything in DisneyWorld was powered by Magic?

And they will probably be an hour late delivering your TTA vehicle.

thats always a classic, but the best is when they SAY they cleaned the vehicle from the last renter, but you stumble upon a dried french fry between the seat or in the console and/or your spouse thinks you took up smoking due to the fact that i always get the car were the person loved cigars and smoked with the windows up. that will make you smell good.

so im sure my TTA vehicle will now have the leftover of a funnel cake and smell like the chain smoking cigar man.

SWEET!!!!

hmmm...I wonder if the vehicles themselves will see any changes...or perhaps the track...maybe change the color of the movers and some neon lights...Or how about adding scenes to those dark corridor portions...:lookaroun

I'm glad TTA got a sponsor...I love the attraction...Its nice way to sit and take in the atmosphere...

I agree Grizz it would be nice if the planets spun too...

I always think of this classic scene from Seinfel when I deal with rentals.

Agent: I'm sorry, we have no mid-size available at the moment.

Jerry: I don't understand, I made a reservation, do you have my reservation?
Agent: Yes, we do, unfortunately we ran out of cars.

Jerry: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the
reservation.

Agent: I know why we have reservations.

Jerry: I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody
can just take them.

Agent: But we do have a compact if you would like that.

Jerry: Fine.

Agent: Alright. We have a blue Ford Escort for you Mr. Seinfeld. Would you like insurance?

Jerry: Yeah, you better give me the insurance, because I am gonna beat the hell out of this car.

I hope they will use the sponsorship to enhance the displays along the track. They've had a few that have been 'dark' for a while and it would be nice to see them fixed up. It's always good to hear about new sponsorships. I just hope they use the funds to add some TLC to the TTA. :)

What if you're late getting your TTA vehicle back? Even though it's out of your control, I'll bet there will be a surcharge for additional minutes used.

Wow - that is great stuff. One of the best ever scenes from Seinfeld

As for the TTA, thank goodness it got a sponsor. This is the first time in a long while that something has GOTTEN and sponsor and not LOST a sponsor!

Hmmm, I wonder if they were really going to loose the rental car care station if they didnt pony up some extra $$.

Before you actually get onto the TTA you'll have to go thru the entire MK parking lot to find YOUR TTA ride and pay a toll to get back into the MK.

Speaking of your rental car not being clean. I found ton of nasty old french frys inbetween the folding part of seat in the van. I cant say enough for all you renting cars out there is to do a very through check over of your car! You'll be surprised as to what you find. CD's, food, money, credit card receipts. Take an extra 10 minutes while your checking out the vehicle BEFORE you sign and then demand the UPGRADE for not having the vehicle clean.

It'd be nice if we could get the DL TTA back...I agree. But i doubt it'll happen.

Then again, Matt's been pretty good about getting the park back to its former glory. Word has it he wants to bring back 20K at DL. Could the TTA be far behind?

Yeah, the track was modified quite a bit in DL... not enough to add in banked curves, but still modified. The People Mover in Disneyland is long gone... at least it seems that way right now.

I think that Jay has decided to go out and hunt down sponsors... that's the way to go! He obviously sees the sponsors leaving the big rides, now he might want to get the little rides sponsored. Who knows, partly sponsored rides may be what Disney will have to do now...

Another possible Rocket Rods transformation disaster in the works?... I hope not.

I still find it funny that a ride like TTA gets a sponsor before Space Mountain does.
