Tomorrowland Speedway

Looking the WDW Magic homepage, there are pictures of the track rerouting of the Tomorrowland Speedway to accommodate the Fantasyland expansion. This attraction is noisy and outdated. Instead of rerouting, they should be rethinking the entire attraction and the land that it encompasses.

I agree...I think I have ridden this ride ONCE, when I was a kid...never even interested me to ride it again after that. Like you said...it's dated and probably should be replaced with something else.

Even though some may consider the Speedway "dated" at this point, any time I've walked by it, there's usually a long line. I was at MK back in late May (prior to the holiday weekend); and the posted waiting time one afternoon, was 60 minutes. Apparently, children still enjoy this attraction.

Children would enjoy it no matter what the theme.

Adults would appreciate a more suitable theming.

I’m a teenager and I love this attraction. It’s a classic theme park ride. Even though it may be loud and smell like gas, it’d be sad to see it go.

I don’t care what theme is used, as long as they get rid of the fumes!

The smart electrified cars that fit the Tron theme would be good. But if they decide on something else then that’s fine by me.

I have been to WDW countless times, well not countless but many, many times, well at least many times. Dam it, I will have to add it up. Anyway, all the times I have been to MK I have never ridden the Speedway. I have been going since 94 and earlier this year I decided that this year I am riding it no matter what. Just to see if maybe there is a spark of awesomeness. I have to have hope that it has been around for so long because there is something awesome about it. I am fairly sensitive to smell and those fumes me off. But for the sake of adventure I shall storm past my senses and give it a whirl.

....means absolutely nothing

You see it at 60 minutes because the MK hosts 20 million per annum and it is a slow throughput attraction as well as others who find it worthy

I’ve been going to MK since the 80s and I couldn’t remember a time riding this, so about a month ago, I rode it to see if there was something I missed. No, not at all. It’s smelly, you have to press the pedal really hard and then it goes so slowly when you do. The cars are difficult to steer. I was riding during fireworks, but I enjoy fireworks better when I can stand and watch them rather than steer an uncooperative vehicle. It’s more fun driving my own car and I think most people with licenses would agree.

This attraction is long overdue for a replacement and it doesn’t have to be a car attraction or attraction at all.

Countless young children enjoy playing with insects, grass, feces, and sand too.

Again, what you write is unconvincing
I enjoyed Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and Dream Flight (both more fun than the Speedway to me) when I was a child and those got replaced. KIds will move on. There’s other places where kids can drive kiddie go karts and have a much more enjoyable experience than the Speedway.

I guess I have no real problem with the Speedway except for it being: the biggest eye sore on property-- so ugly to look at, the most noisy Disney attraction ever, a large fume emitter, an overall pathetically pointless experience and a wasted opportunity for something far better like open/unused/undevelpoed space

So it’s fair to say you’re not a big fan then?
