I’m not sure if this was him, but my high school math teacher’s grandfather helped acquire land for Walt Disney World :)

Thank you for posting that, it’s always interesting to learn about the people who worked directly with Walt to create this stuff! Glad he lived a long and productive life.

It might be boring reading to some, but has the WDW land acquisition ever been documented in detail in a book?

Some of the various Walt Disney bios recount the extensive use of Disney’s shell companies and the lawyering it took to convince the numerous property owners to sell. Apparently even though large portions of the acerage were owned by single owners, they still had to buy from many other property owners, which were each bought by different shell companies. It took quite some time to close on these land deals and shift control to Disney Co.
