Tokyo Disney Planning - Finally!!!!

Finally my long awaited trip to Japan is booked for Easter of this year, flying from Heathrow to Haneda on the 7th April. 🕺🏼

Now that it's starting to get a bit closer, I am planning on doing two days back to back on the 25th and 26th of April, I'm not staying on site, but we're around a 35 minute commute away which is totally fine, and I guess I just wanted some advice off people in the know.

My original trip to Japan was booked for May 2020, obviously that did not happen and got postponed until now, however I remember at the time struggling to buy the park tickets on the Tokyo Disney app. I am aware of Klook, so is that the best option, or are there any other apps/websites people recommend?

I do watch TDR Explorer, but can't be back tracking on every video. Does Tokyo have fast pass, and is it like the old traditional fast pass, or do you have to pay for it?

How does the lottery system work for shows? It's me and my partner going, so what if only one of our tickets are selected for the lottery? Also, which shows should I realistically be aiming for? (Preferably somewhere we can sit down).

Dining across both parks. Where shall we eat in both parks? I don't really want to go anywhere requiring reservations, or anything like that, however what are some good options for lunch/dinner?

Is it worth making time for Ikspiari?

And anything else worth noting overall?

Any guidance on the above will be great, I am beginning to do my own homework as well, but why not come to the source? 🤷🏼

Congratulations and have fun! I'll address your point 1 by 1:

- The Tokyo Disney website only sells tickets around 60 days in advance. I am going in march and need to wait a bit.

- Fast Pass is gone, replaced by paid Premier Access for some rides and shows on the official app.

- Lottery used to be in person, but I believe its on the app now.. I see Standby Pass, so that's probably it.

- I try to do one meal, such as a sit-down restaurant or a quick service and then munch on snacks. The Spiced Smoked Chicken Leg at the Lost River Cookhouse is amazing! Yucatan Base Camp Grill is part of the Temple of the Forbidden Eye and I love the theming inside. At Tokyo Disneyland, Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall is a classic. Love the Flank Steak there.

- Ikspiari used to have a great record store that sold a lot of Tokyo Disney soundtracks, so that's worth a visit. Rest, its a standard japanese mall.

Amazing thank you. I can see Premier Access on the app, I am assuming you can only use it once you're physically in the park/s? Same with the lottery for shows?

The official site is a huge pain to use and there’s a strong chance that your foreign credit card will not work on it. Klook is probably your best bet. You could also try to wait until you get to Japan and then purchase via convenience store although you’ll run a higher risk of not being able to get tickets for the days you want that way.

Similar to the U.S. parks, you group your party together on the app so it won’t be possible for only one person to win and the other not to. It’s all or nothing.

You should be aware that the days you plan to go to the parks are in the days leading up to Golden Week, which is one of the biggest domestic holiday periods of the year. It’s possible the parks could be more packed than usual with people taking extra time off.
