I start in Adventure Land do the park from the left.

Done the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean .... the well the Tiki Room.
Why not, two cast members standing outside it was about 9:45am and the said I was the first guest.

Sad.....

So I enter anyway sat where ever I felt like sitting and ...... I was the only guest.

Sad.....

Me and the cast member, she stayed in the room.... guess in case I felt like jumping on the benches and running around the room naked I guess; They need to keep an eye on you.

Sad.....

I got thinking is there something wrong with the attraction?
Does it ever fill?
Can it be fixed?

Kind of interesting the Tiki Room and Country Bears are in the same building and the Country Bears is getting TLC.

I havent done this one in a while, mainly because of the refurb last year, but I've been to WDW probably 20 times and never realized that the Tiki Room and Country Bears share the same room. Learn something new every day!

Oh wow ..... I can remember when the Tiki Room was actually enjoyable!! (and having in the tiki, tiki, tiki room) stuck in my head, until its replaced by "its a small world after all....." I was looking forward to the Tiki Room too in October

So....going back to a shortened version of the original that was replaced with the Under New Management version because guests had lost interest in it was not the answer?

Shocking.

An attraction like this is never going to be a huge draw, and will never be 100% full 24/7. However, a variable soundtrack would have at least given guests a reason to go once or twice every trip.

I liked it much better "Under New Management." I understand why they took Iago out, but now it's just as fun as watching paint dry. Even my 3 year old was bored to tears and wanted to leave halfway through. If it were a little more upbeat I think it would be a little more fun!

The layout of Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom are different.

Dole actually sponsors the Tiki Room in Disneyland and they have the Dole counter at the attraction.
I think that helps in Disneyland but at the Magic Kingdom Dole is not a sponsor and I can not picture a place to sell the Dole product even if they wanted too.

My family always enjoys this attraction, but we would never dream of doing it at 9:30 in the morning when lines are still short for attractions and the weather is still enjoyable. We save all shows for when we are tired, it's hot out or when it is raining. Yes, they are more crowded at those times but typically they can handle the crowds.

I went a few times...not to crowded, but definetly not empty.

It may help but the attraction is naturally much, much more popular at Disneyland. Even without the Dole Whips, the Tiki Room would still continue to see guests. At WDW, the Country Bears seems to be the more popular show. Obviously quite the opposite at DL.

I enjoyed the under new management version, if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Did they change it because of the controversy with Gilbert Gottfried? (the voice of Iago, I think he made a racist joke, but I'm not 100% sure, Geico also dropped him as the voice of the duck)

Iago and Zazu were painfully loud in the UNM version. The volume was much more tolerable when I saw the new version two weeks ago. There were only about 20 guests total, but it was the last show of the day and there weren't many people at the other AL attractions either.

The Controversy of Gilbert Gottfried has nothing to do with why Under New Management is gone. UNM had a fire before Gilbert Gottfried made his comments. That fire damaged 2 or 3 AA's including Iago beyond repair.
