I think we should all write e-mails to the Orlando Sentinel and others expressing are dissapproval.
Agreed. If anyone over the age of 10 or so (correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we have any forum members under that age) believes these characters are real, that's, well, disturbing. (unless they have a learning disability or something, in that case it would be understandable) I don't understand why people think these images are "sick". It's the head part of a costume! Do you become sick to your stomache seeing the costumes in stores near Haloween time? No! So how is this any different? (except for this costume is higher-quality of course)burbur said:if the man is found guilty, then his crime is what is "sick." not the spread of these photos.
mkt said:And like has been said before, until you've been a Disney character, been in costume, worked for the mouse, you have NO clue what its like. I don't think any jury will be able to understand that, which is why I feel that Michael, although innocent, will be sentenced. And yet another innocent person goes to jail.
You really should.mkt said:just a thought... an observation of sorts.
This is a public courtroom. I wanna visit

From a photojournalistic point of view, theres nothing wrong with those photos. Ethically and morally, there's nothing wrong with publishing photos of a court case, which are open to the public and anyone could attend in the gallery.
Tigggrl said:I have to agree with MKT here...Those cameras should never have been allowed in the courtroom! This whole trial should have been closed...and Timekeeper, SHAME on you for not posting these pics with a link...when MKT offered to host them, the mature thing to do would have been to take him up on the offer. You know as well as I do, that this is a family site, and kids look at these forums all the time. People should be given the option to click on an additional link. This whole thing being out in the public eye disgusts me. It could have been handled much more discreetly. :hammer: :fork:

There are much worse threats out there than these pictures, even on harmless message boards like this.
No child young enough to believe that a costume is actually alive should be on ANY message board without direct supervision.
Tigggrl said:Well, as I see it, there are plent of ways for kids to expose younger more innocent and Naieve kids to something like this, for example, older kids showing the site to younger kids...or being pulled up in the public computers and left there...I just think it would have shown more class to post the pictures with a link...

Yes, but you have to read the newspaper, how many kids do you know pay attention to the newsaper?? And the newspaper is also NOT WDWMAGIC...a family friendly website featuring Disney...corran horn said:Heck, it was on the front page of the newspaper. That's not exactly a closely guarded thing.
THOUSANDS of kids - and just think about what's outside the Central Florida area - have seen this. And it's nothing less than disappointing.Tigggrl said:Yes, but you have to read the newspaper, how many kids do you know pay attention to the newsaper??
