When you book a WDW vaca package can you still put your tickets you purchased towards an AP if you decide on arrival you would rather get an AP than to use the tickets you bought with your package?

Yes. They are actually never “on” magic bands. They are on your MDE account and magic bands just read info off of your MDE account as to why you can use numerous magic bands at any given time. Like I wear sometimes 4-5 different ones each trip on different days to go with the park or outfit etc.
You have to do it within 14 days of the first use of the tickets. It is not 30 days anymore.
