Tickets on craigslist

I'd guess that they can't afford to keep $876 invested in tickets they don't know when/if they'll be able to use them.

The problem with the sale is you have no way of knowing if the tickets have already been used or not until you get to the gate, when it'll be too late. The fact that the ticket shown isn't signed is hopefully a good sign, but it's conceivable that they could have used it without a CM noticing it wasn't signed.

Caveat Emptor.

I have been to WDW about 10 times and have never signed our pack passes. IMO this isn't that good of a deal

I am in Raleigh, NC. The listing is for Fayetteville which is where Fort Bragg is. There could be many reasons that they cannot be used. That town is seeing a lot of financial issues with the number of people deployed, family members not being able to get home to go, death of a soldier, or a local that is almost out of work due to the troops being gone.

Before I would do it, I would want confirmation directly from WDW that they were valid.

Which can't be done--therein lies the problem. Validation of tickets can only be done in-person with the tickets in hand. I wouldn't risk it.

Thanks guys....you pretty much backed what I was thinking to begin with. I just didn't know if there was some way Disney could verify if the tickets were good or not. You would think they would have someway to do that.

Technically, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Why would they need to confirm to you that the tickets you bought for your own use are valid?

They provide the confirmation in person of what's left on older non-expiry tickets for us old guys who can't remember what's left.

No, because it would legitimize the resale business and take a huge toll on Disney's bottom line.

The biggest question I would have is why do they actually HAVE the tickets, unless they were at the parks and used them at some point(MY guess is that they used some of the days, if not all of them and are trying to sell them as a full 7-day ticket)?? Usually, you have a voucher that you present to pick up your tickets once you get to the parks. Hmmmm....

I found these today and was wondering if there is anyway to find out if the tickets are legit. I just don't understand if someone has no expiration on the tickets, why would you sale them??

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/tix/858043299.html

Odds are its a scam. You have no way of knowing how many days are left, etc.

That and anyone in Guest relations who sees the scan of those tickets can go into the system and deactivate them.... or so I'm told.

Long and short of it, Buyer Beware. Just buy them from the official sources and your life will involve a lot less paperwork.
