Tiana's Bayou Adventure Effects Status Watch

Similar to other threads about attractions that are prone to show malfunctions (Everest, Tower of Terror...), here's where to list what is or isn't working on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Off a POV from two days ago-



- Mill Tiana’s head and mouth aren't working
- Louis' Okra isn't moving
- Rara Louis' mouth isn't working. He has also lost alot of his movement
- Phineas the fox is moving slower than she should be.
- Stump Tiana is paralyzed from the neck down
- Louis' tail isn't wiggling
- Magic swirling lights before the dip drop don't activate
- Giant Tiana and Louis don't activate, just swaying awkwardly
- Mama Odie screen before the lift hill is broken (Has been for weeks)
- Mama Odie at the top of the drop isn't moving her mouth
- Finale Louis' mouth is broken
- Apollo is completely frozen
- Mama Odie at the finale is only looping the line "This party wouldn't be what it is without you!"
- Juju isn't working

C’mon…all of us on here KNEW it was just a matter of time before the “effects” would stop “effecting”…some had the over and some had the under…now if only they didn’t toss all the Splash AA’s…

I absolutely despise this ride.

The Mama Odie video screen before what used to be the Laughing Place was off on Saturday, but on/fixed by Monday. Juju (and Mama Odie's lines reacting to him) was working Monday night.

I rode it last Sunday for the first time. The climax didn’t seem to be working. Dr Facilier was down and they just had Mama Odie on a screen at the bottom of the lifthill. Also during the old Laughing Place scenes only 4 of the AAs were out. 4 frogs to be exact. I guess the others ones are in the shop for maintenance? Also there was a screen displaying a really poor looking computer animated Tiana and Louis. I’m guessing that’s B mode? Then nothing until we got to another screen with all the fireflies in the bayou - except Ray

Oh yeah- after the first drop we heard Ray singing as we entered the show building. We were so excited that we might get to see our favorite character from the movie but no luck. I’ve since found out that hes dead as this story takes place after the events of the movie so I’m guessing it was his ghost singing? Or did Tiana bring her record player to the bayou? Also I think the ride soundtrack wasn’t quite working during those first few scenes as as all the Tiana and Louis AAs kept repeating themselves. Something about the critters being able to Play. It was also strange to go through a whole ride based on Princess and the Frog and not hear Naveens voice once. He was such a big part of the movie.

During the finale scene they were singing a song about us being the special spice. Not quite sure what we did but I’ll take it. Also maybe I missed it but is Tiana anywhere to be found in her iconic green dress on this ride? I’m guessing I missed it since I was so preoccupied with avoiding getting soaked. I understand this story takes place after the events of the movie. I’m curious to see the new Tiana Disney + show when it comes out so I can find out why Louis doesn’t like to play anymore. I found it odd that he was the only critter on the attraction that wasn’t playing an instrument.

Anyway all in all. It was fine. Still a fun flume ride. 9/10 for me. I can only imagine how great it is when everything is working.

Just a quick reminder that they actually built a Princess and the Frog ride with no Dr Facilier, no Ray, and Louis doesn’t play. Oh yeah- you don’t hear Naveens voice once. They omitted all of this on a 10 minute log ride in favor of fiberglass statues and limited motion figures of characters we don’t know. This is how they decided to replace Splash Mountain. It never stops boggling the mind.

This is exactly what I expected them to do. This was unnecessary, poorly planned, and extremely poorly executed.
