Pre-Trip Three Words: My Pre Trip Report!

Not long ago I was out for a ride on my bicycle. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, my mind was at peace and I began to think of my wife and how much I love her and had a desire to do something special for her.

Wonderful ideas began to flood my mind. Flowers would be nice, but I needed something better. Perhaps a special dinner? No, that wouldn't be enough. Jewelery? Na, she's very picky and I would most likely get the wrong thing.

Then, i had a spark! An idea that was perfect! As it came to fruition in mind, a big smile came across my face, and then, out of nowhere... I fell of my bike.

Luckily I was not injured aside from a badly bruised ego lol. My Great idea was a trip to Disney world of course! It's been nearly a year since we last visited together and it's about time we get back!

Being just a few months out it was nearly impossible finding more than 2 days together on the dvc website. Over the next 2 weeks I began reserving specific days and was able to piece together 5 days in a row. I definitely wanted more but this was enough to share the news with my wife! I was able to get our home, Boardwalk Villas. We will have a 1 bedroom villa with pool/garden view!

I've visited twice this year, but sans wifey. Our last trip was Ocotber of 2021 and the mask mandate was still enforced outdoors. Even though we had a good time she she decided she would not visit again until the nonsensical mandate was lifted completely. Here's some pics from that trip. Starting off seltzer heavy for @lostpro9het

Over the course of the last 2 months I was able to get a total of 9 days at boardwalk villas. I recently just added an additional 2 days to the beginning of the trip at Wilderness Lodge, studio room, Club Level.

Needless to say, C is SUPER excited to visit again now that we don't have to wear masks.

We've got lots of fun and new stuff planned for this trip! Updates to come soon!

I woke up this morning and poured my coffee. I turned to my right to hug my wife, but nobody was there. I just went ahead and hugged and invisible person.

Then C entered the room and guided me to the sofa and sat me down so we could review some plans we've made. She is like a Doctor/caretaker for me.

We have a total of 11 days at WDW so far. 2 days at Wildernes Lodge amd then over to BWV for 9 days.

We've got a Disney Advanced Dining Reservation for breakfast at Steakhouse 71, another for dinner at Citricos and also one for dinner at Toledo over at Destino Tower.

Fun fact: the word, "ressie" makes me puke in my mouth.

To try something new, we are going to play the miniature golf courses once we get over to BWV. We had family in town recently and went to an indoor miniature golf course and had so much fun. It made us realize in all the years we've never tried the ones at Disney world.

Quick update on our pups:

Our youngest, Edith is a big girl now. And yes, @Darstarr , she likes you amd you can pet her 😁

For anybody new to my reports, our dogs are Dutch Shepherd/ Belgian Malinois.

All the dogs are doing great. And for this trip we are having a house sitter, another first for us. My assistant trainer, will be staying at our house. Our dogs know and love her and we are glad to have someone be here with them and our cats. FYI, for those new to my dogs, they are personal protection trained and are not able to be handled by just anybody, ...except for you @Darstarr 😁😁😁

Quick updates:

We head out next week! C is beginning her process of making claims that won't come true.

Things like, "I'm definitely packing light this trip", and the classic, "We're gonna leave on time". Does anybody else have a spouse or family member that does this? Lol.

I think it's a coping mechanism for the excitement (and anxiety) of an upcoming trip and all the things that need to get done before we leave. Either way, it's cute.

We are seriously planning on taking it slow the first two days at Wilderness Lodge. We've reserved MK for park reservations will most likely head there in late afternoon or evening. We want to soak in the resort and get some quality time at the pool amd the club level lounge.

I'm trying to convince C to rent the little sprite boats (im.not sure the proper name, but we called them sprites as kids). I want to cruise by the tree that CMs throw their shoes on. The Bay Lake Shoe Tree!
