You will like SSR,that is our home resort as we are dvc members
Congress Park is nice to stay at if you want to walk to the Springs
If you stay at the Grandstands you can request a room near the pool
It’s less than a five minute walk to the Springs ferry boat and it’s always the first bus stop
Going and coming from the parks
You should enjoy your stay there

Worst hotel I have stayed in over 35 years at Disney. Rooms are not themed. Staff were extremely unhelpful - not like Disney at all. It is more like a moderate value hotel than a deluxe. Very hard to get around if you don't have a car - different buildings so you will get wet if it rains. Will never stay there again.

We stayed at SSR for 2 weeks in 2016 and have said we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else, in fact we're going back again in October. Transport times were comparable, if not better, than Caribbean Beach which is our only other comparison. But for us the biggest asset was the ability to just stroll around to DS. We stayed in Congress Park for the DS proximity and either got the bus from the stop there or walked down to The Paddock (10 mins walk) for a grab n go breakfast and jumped on the bus down there.
