Avon and Physicians Formula are long lasting as well. When in WDW I wear as little makeup as possible because it disappears in the heat & humidity.

And I'm going to be a little harsh right now, but $200 a month on makeup!
What are you wearing? :lookaroun Do you know how much food I can buy with that?

I have to say though that I wear very little makeup now (I'm an old lady in her 50's :lookaroun), but even My kids don't spend that much and they wear a lot :zipit:

The best I've found so far is from Bare Escentuals. I have trouble with my eyeshadow and liner staying, but their eye primer is amazing! It's in a tube, you twist the end of it and put a layer on your eyelid before the shadow and liner. That stuff stays on until you take it off! And I've put it to the test because I show horses and have to wear makeup at shows - my eye makeup looks exactly the same after I've been sweating like a mad woman. It's really great stuff.

They make face primer too for the foundation, which makes a nice base, but I don't think it works as well to keep it on like the eyelid primer does.

Plus, you can still use whatever kind of makeup you want after you put all the primer on. So you won't have to go out and buy new everything.

Hope that helps!

At $200 a month for make up you could take your pick! Can I ask what you wear exactly that costs that much? That's an unreal amount of money to spend a month for make up! I don't think I spend that in a year!

I wear Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and it's awesome. Stays put for hours. It's about $35 a bottle. I use very, very little because it doesn't take much. I hate that "made up" look! The bottle will last me at least 6 months (usually longer)
Go onto Estee Lauder's web site and check it out!

I use Bare Minerals for my foundation. I would never go back to thick, liquid foundations. It has built-in SPF and doesn't weigh on you in the heat. I bring a very small kabuki brush and powder with me if I want to touch up but most often, I don't bother. It's Disney and I'm not worried too much about being "runway perfect" you know? I find it's pretty durable in general (as I live here in Florida and experience the Florida heat daily!) and doesn't clog pores. I finish with the Mineral Veil as I like how that gives a softer finish.

A jar of foundation is like $25 but it lasts me like 6 months so it's not really expensive. I get it at Sephora or Ulta.

with any makeup a thin dusting of powder will keep it set longer (eyes, face lips). And a good primer helps as well.

When I'm in the make-up wearing mood, I always go for Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals. It's SO EASY to just brush on and it covers like a dream and stays on like nobody's business. HOWEVER - I have sensitive skin for break-outs (I am a regular ProActiv user which has really fixed that issue) and about a week after I use it I notice little presents popping up :zipit:.

I also use Bare Escentuals! Love, Love, Love it! I wouldn't wear anything else! Full coverage, natural looking and light on the skin. I to have sensitive skin but, I do not break out from this product.

You no longer have to purchase on line, you can buy a starter kit in JCPenny.

Good Luck!

I've seen them in Target and Ulta stores as well, Ulta carries the entire line (at least in my store).

Foundation is key! I did a summer make-up tips thread last August to get ideas. When people talk about melt-your-face-hot in the parks I'm thinking my make-up is literally gonna be dripping off. LOL! One of the best tips I got was the Monistat Anti-Chaffing Gel used as a make-up primer under your foundation. I take a dab of it + a dab of my regular moisturizer, mix it on my fingertips, then smooth over my entire face before I do anything. The stuff really works as a killer primer to make your make-up stay longer. I'm not kidding. It works!

For foundation/powder I use Pur Minerals. It comes in a pressed form so it travels well and isn't something I will spill. It's a mineral product so it has the SPF and feels weightless like other mineral products. I brush it on with a big retractible brush I got at Target. I think the compact costs like $30 (at Ulta) and lasts 4-6 months for me. Not bad. I use the Pur Minerals pressed blush and the bronzer powder as a basic layer of eyeshadow. For other eyeshadow colors I use Almay for hazel eyes stuff. Eyeliner I generally use Cover Girl or whatever in some pretty brown. My favorite is the Urban Decay stuff that you apply with a chiseled brush but it was expensive and I can't even find it anymore. Loved it. Wish I could find it again. Mascara I just go with Cover Girl or whatever. Nothing fancy. My biggest expense is the lotion, the Pur Minerals products, and brushes which really aren't bad at all. I would say I spend $200 every 6 months to a year.

Another way to be sure your make-up stays put is to not touch or wipe at it. I get oily often so I know the temptation. If you don't want to spend on oil blotting sheets then try the obvious: a square of toilet paper or a kleenex. They're made to be absorbent. Makes sense, huh? I've used both for a long time and I can tell you that they work just fine. I don't like oil blotting sheets. They're just weird and I don't see the sense in spending extra for something I don't have to have.

I understand the need to put on a "full face". I just don't feel dressed without make-up. If folks here saw me without make-up they'd likely not even recognize me. I look very different without it and not in a good way. Whatever makes you feel comfortable is the way to go!
