Trip Report This all seems very familiar. The loco spring 22’ TR! - COMPLETE

Well the laundry is done the yard tended to and my visit with my sweet mother is complete. Time to start our TR.

May 1-7

Who.
The loco and the wife, A. A handful of other wonderful people will be making appearances also!

Where
OKW. Just look at those well-themed trash cans. So immersive, so magical.

I didn’t take very many notes, and I have a pretty horrible memory(must’ve bumped my head on too many things), but I will try to recall as much as I can!

Day one - May 1.

Our 6 AM alarm came far too quickly, but it’s always easier to get up for vacation!

We called an Uber and made it to OKW in 5 minutes.

We wanted to grab a cup of coffee from the QS window, but for some reason they didn’t open until 7. Early entry for DHS was at 7:30 that morning(AK was at 7). Makes zero sense.

We took a bus to DHS and made it with plenty of time to spare for early entry. Few people had made it to the very early opening.

Stop number one was an old favorite.

They actually opened ToT before early entry had officially started, and we were off the ride right at 7:30. We headed for our next attraction. This one is really growing on me. Still wish it didn’t replace GMR.

Our wait for MMRR was only about 10 minutes. We had time for a third attraction during early entry.

I know @Darstarr had no luck with early entry, we had the exact opposite every time we utilized it!

We were tempted to try and grab a ride on slinky. It was posted at 30 minutes but was clearly shorter. Our need for food and coffee won out though and we headed for ronto roasters for some much needed breakfast, which I forgot to take a picture of! Here’s a different picture instead!

I think we could’ve done more had goods food to go been open in time for us to grab something! Glad to have you along!

Day one continued.

After breakfast we went to find the PPP with the special magic shot of Grogu(AKA baby Yoda). Boy did we find a real winner of a PPP. Please enjoy photos from our 10 minute long exclusive photo shoot!

Pretty basic to start.

Still normal for SWL. Notice it was 1000000% humid that morning.

Here’s the magic shot. So schweaty.

Now we’re taking prom pictures. Keep in mind this PPP girl stayed in dead serious character the entire time. We were DYING!

Anyways.

Attraction number four was another walk-on. We got the stupid prequel scenes. The pod racing one is fun, but that Jar Jar scene. Gross.

The Olaf meet and greet was just opening as we left star tours. We were among the first visitors of the day. Finally we could give him a warm hug!

He made the moves on A.

Then made the moves on me?!

Attraction number five for the day was a must do.

After watching a salute to all nations but mostly America we headed back into SWL to see if Chewbacca was out. He wasn’t.

Day one continued.

The hunt for Chewbacca continued, but with no results. All we found were some trash droids and an old A-wing.

We did see some unwelcome storm troopers.

And another PPP

Trying to do my best Wookiee impression.

People were buying blue milk. Gross.

We eventually ended up in the land of gigantic toys.

We didn’t stop to play with toys though. We sat on a bench near echo lake and thought about what we wanted to do next. We’d really accomplished everything we’d planned on doing and it was only 10 am!

Day one continued.

Our closest and quickest option was the Indiana Jones show. This is our only picture. We’ll see who all gets the reference!

BTW I found the modified show to be the best of the modified shows I’ve seen. The only noticeable difference is the lack of guest participation in the show, but the main highlights of the old show are still in place.

After the show we took this tiny world(or whatever it’s called) picture.

We had lunch at ABC commissary. I once again failed to get a picture(it was day one and I was rusty). We split an order of pork carnitas tacos. It wasn’t very good.

The park was filling up and heating up. We still had a few hours to kill before we could park hop(another dumb rule). We boarded the riff-raff express for riviera to cool off and kill time.

Some quiet time at le petit cafe was just what we needed. This lemon cheesecake was consumed as well.

Eventually we were able to enter Epcot right at 2 pm. Flower and garden was in full bloom and looking fantastic.

The topiaries seemed to have a lot more flowers included in the displays this year.

We hopped on figment, then grabbed some drinks and cooled off in the DVC lounge.

Next up was the butterfly house.
