Things at the Disneyland Resort that have overstayed their welcome

DCA. Just DCA in general.

The most confused park in history. Waste of space and a disgrace to be located across the path from the greatest theme park in the world.

That sounds harsh, but really, Disneyland deserved better. There are some spectacular areas of DCA (Cars Land, Grizzly River Run, WOC) but the rest is just sad to see. I almost wish Imagineers could go back in time and somehow rework the Westcot idea or build something similar to Tokyo DisneySea.

Anything. ANYTHING over what DCA is now.

Careful what you wish for. Despite the many sins of DCA, it's practically Disneyland quality compared to Walt Disney Studios in Paris, which has virtually NO pleasing environments or design and is less pleasant to be in than most Six Flags parks! Made all the worse and more noticeable with the beautiful, intricate Disneyland Paris next door. Much, much worse than Disneyland to DCA, IMO.

Thanks for catching me there.....Disney Studios Paris really is the worst. It’s a good thing they’re getting Star Wars, Frozen, and Marvel lands over there. Hopefully they’ll actually start trying to keep that place clean. Same goes for that Cars hotel there.

Don't they still have their Tower? And Star Wars Galaxy's Edge and Arandelle? Seems way better than DCA, if not now- in a decade from now when all that's built.

They do have OG DCA Tower, with those other additions coming. But you're vastly underestimating just how bad the rest of the park is. There are places in DCA that are well-designed, that are nice and pleasant to be in: BVS, Cars Land, Grizzly Peak, Pacific Wharf. Places that someone at some point put some actual thought into. At WDSP, that basically is limited to the city block-sized area around the Ratatouille ride (which isn't that great).

If you were to put Pixar Pier into WDSP right now, as is, it would probably be the second best area in the park. That's how lacking WDSP is in design.

Definitely those future additions will help, but I don't think there's any way of really fixing WDSP without completely demolishing it and starting over. The layout issues and the areas of the original park that they aren't touching will still blight the park.

Consider that WDSP's status as the worst Disney park is pretty unanimous in a fandom that otherwise cannot agree on anything. There's a reason.
