This year is special... this year is 2020... a 50th birthday I will never forget, right?

Before all this madness started, I had decided that this year we would skip Disney (GASP) and go to Las Vegas for my 50th birthday. For all who know me, you know I start planning WAAAAAY ahead. I made myself wait until January 1st this year.

Who:

Me (Susan)

When: September 26th - Oct 2nd

Where: Las Vegas, NV at the Aria Hotel and Casino on the Strip

Why: Because it's my 50th Birthday Extravaganza!!!!!!!!!!

Did I say this is an Extravaganza? We are flying Delta in First Class both directions!

Plans so far:

We have tickets to see the Jabberwockeez (they were on America's got Talent and World of Dance) These could get cancelled. No shows are running right now, but it looks like they have a social distancing plan... but it has yet to be approved. On my Birthday, we have reservations at Hell's Kitchen. I can't wait to try the Beef Wellington! We also have reservations at the Neon Graveyard (where Neon goes to live!) and I'm waiting for the calendar to open up so I can make reservations at the mob museum. One day we are driving about an hour out of town to the Valley of Fire. We originally wanted to drive to the south rim of the grand canyon, but it's 5 hours each way. We will save that for another time.

I'm sure I'll find some Disney magic in Vegas, right?

Have fun, but be careful. Last time I was there I stayed at the Cosmopolitan and there must have been a -bag convention in town. Knee deep in DBs. Couldn't swing a cat without hitting a DB. Used a whole can of DB repellent.

Absinthe was a great show if it still plays. Check out Egg S l u t if you want to have breakfast with hipsters. Bacchanal Buffet was a good place to strap on a feed bag.

Looking forward to your report.

So excited for you! I haven't been to Vegas in 20 years. Looking forward to reading about your dinner at Hell's Kitchen. I love the show! Jealous you get to eat the Beef Wellington 😊

I haven't been in 25, and hubby has never been. I know it's not going to be the real version of Vegas during this Covid year, but I have a feeling I'll like the subdued, less people version anyhoo!

Luckily (unlucky for Vegas) no conventions of any kind right now.... so no D-Bags coming in that way... but I'm sure there are plenty there still. No shows are showing right now... and Egg S--T is on the list already! Bacchanal Buffet isn't open... only 2 buffets are open, and they are serving you. Covid has quite change everything.

Zion almost made the list, but we decided Valley of Fire instead! What do you like to do in Vegas? Do you have favorite places to eat?
We mainly do the gambling and some shows - O at the Bellagio is my absolute favourite so far - we also had a blast one day in Madam. Tussauds just being absolute idiots. We also just tour around the hotels. As for food (you may have noticed) I don’t care much for it (And I’m fussy) So we just normally grab and go anything easy. You’ll have the best time for your birthday. I’ll be following along......

But where is the ICE CREAM?

LOL

We have free tickets to Madam Tussauds from the MyVegas app, so we will be going to check that out and act silly!
