I really thought they were going to leave it up for the 100th. Here is previously unseen concept art.

I think eventually the castle will eventually return to its original color scheme, even if it takes a while. Look at the hat at MGM and the wand icon tower at Epcot, they definitely overstayed their welcome, but they were eventually removed. Though this may just be wishful thinking on my end…

There may actually be decor designed for the 100th that will go up at a later date? If I were putting the attachments in a structure, I would take full advantage of that for all future decorations...and they are not horribly noticeable as far as I can see from the pictures...

That would be my guess. Most guests are not going to notice the mounts.

It would make sense to add 100th decor before they have to repair the holes they made in the castle, better justified cost as they got to market two celebrations onto the castle.

They're about as noticeable as the rest of the infrastructure built into the castle, like pyro launchers, lasers, strobes, safety rails, and other things I shouldn't discuss on a public forum, which is to say, not noticeable to the average guest with a smartphone as their camera.

They'd also be pretty hard to remove, patch and blend with the rest of the shingles without it seeming messy. Then again, most guests wouldn't notice that either.

Don’t like the new icon, it’s jumbled with still using the Mickey circle, and now narrowing and enlarging Sleeping Beauty castle with an extra turret and one flag from the DLR app (look at them side by side, it’s obvious, I noticed it because they are right next to each other on my phone.) Last I checked Cinderella Castle doesn’t have flags. Don’t know why they went away from the Mickey circle but if they wanted to do that why not just use the original logo (World Mickey D)?

Literally every single thing.
