Good Morning Disneyaerians. Watching Saturday morning kitchen ( cooking TV show ) at this moment and one of my favourite meat dishes was on the menu. Venison. But where at WDW would you recommend for the ultimate plate of Bambi? P.S. When is a deer not a dear? When someone else is paying for it.:(

We had venison carpaccio at Artist Point in November. It had a ton of garnish and embellishment for a carpaccio, but it was all quite lovely.

I could see it at Artist's Point if we're considering dinner entrees, but it 'could' make a nice addition to one of the better breakfast menus since hand crafted venison breakfast sausage can be a nice addition to a more upscale or woodsy feeling breakfast. Actually, considering the modern look to The Wave's menu...I probably could see it there for breakfast. It's such a lean meat that it can be pushed in a rather healthful menu if prepared the right way.

Venison indeed is very good for you.The first time I tried it was in this restaurant in a small village opposite the famous " Eilean Donnan " castle where the film " Highlander " was filmed. The restaurant owner said that the Haunch of highland venison in a red currant & port jus was Sean Connery's favourite dish.He had it almost every night.Well if its good enough for McLeod,it's good enough for me.There can only be one.;)

I had a delicious Elk dish on the tasting menu one winter at Downtown Disney - Wolfgang Puck's Cafe (upstairs) several years ago.
