Thanks for starting the thread. Looking forward to this season to keep myself entertained until the Winter Olympics begin in February.

It's Traitors premiere night! They're releasing three episodes tonight. I'll for sure watch one, likely two. The third will probably have to wait for the weekend, though. Stupid work in the morning. So I probably won't be posting here until then. However, I'm so excited to see Rob play!

I assume Rob was cast in part due to his following through RHAP and in appreciation for his coverage that promotes the show.

When he got a fairly high profile and positive edit at the start, I kind of figured they were giving him a moment prior to an early exit. They even kept in quotes about him being the Survivor expert despite two actual winners also being there.

On the bright side, with the UK and USA filming back to back I do like how they tweak things a little so we can compare different approaches.

The UK has the same Secret Traitor element this season, but the difference is they know who the other Traitors are. It's a small change but creates different dynamics.

I finished the third episode this morning. Obviously I'm devastated Rob was murdered early, but it was the right move for the Traitors.

I'm a little bummed about some of the choices for the traitors. Two housewives? I get why they didn't choose a gamer, because they've been heavy in that area and want to break the expectation, but then it also puts the gamers at a disadvantage in the game. There's nobody there to vouch for them in the turret, so they're easy to pick off.

I'm torn on the secret traitor twist. They obviously picked Donna for the shock factor, but I think that role needs to be someone who is good with strategy. Donna was a little too bland for it. Rob, Ian, or Tiffany would have been good in that role.

I do think murdering Ian and Rob made sense with the short list Lisa, Candiace, and Rob R were given. However, I do wonder if they would have been easy banishments a little later on, just because of who they are. But then they are also two people who could figure it out more than the "nobodies". It's a double edged sword, because they're going to start running out of plausible alternatives.

I do think Rob R is playing a really good traitor game. Candiace is not. She's being really loud. Right now those three are doing a good job of sticking together, which we haven't always seen. There are a few other options before they would even be thought about... Michael, Ron, Tiffany, Yam Yam. Natalie seems like a firm faithful. She's probably who I'm rooting for the most now.

Speaking a little more on Rob... he was definitely cast because of RHAP. I loved seeing him for the little bit we did. When we said, "So ******* hard" I got so excited. If you didn't catch it, when he found out he was murdered, he choked up for half a second, and that got me. This clearly meant so much to him. Probably more to him than anybody else.

He seems to be very grateful for the experience and has no regrets. Since he was out so early, he will continue to podcast about this season as he has in past seasons. It'll be really interesting to hear his perspective now.

It's a slim chance, but I do think he could be someone they bring back, similar to Dorinda. He's clearly got a lot to offer and great potential, but he just went out too early. But would they do that instead of casting a new Survivor? I wouldn't think so.

This boot order is brutal this season. Tiffany and Monet?! It's going to be Natalie next, isn't it?

Michael was one of the worst faithfuls we've ever seen. It very much reminds me of Natalie going after John Rocker in San Juan del Sur. What he said to Colton was disgusting. You can't just say that and then tell everybody you didn't mean it, while continuing to double down. Glad he's gone. Glad so many of them put that above the game, even though this serves the faithful in the game as well by getting rid of a distraction.

I listened to some of Rob's exit interview and this weeks RHAP recap. He seems to have gained a lot of insights that will benefit his podcasting. Two episodes felt short for viewers and fans of course, but it's a good reminder that actually being there for several full days can still be a fulfilling experience.

As reality competition fans, seeing our "side" go out quickly sucks much of the air out of the room, but I still love the show. Lisa getting some real heat hopefully means things are going to get interesting.

Rappaport seems to be someone who likes to play the blowhard. I'll be generous and say his comments may not have been rooted in any hatred or bigotry, and I think the show did a good job rebutting him either way. A pro athlete is often going to feel forced to be in the closet and linking that to being dishonest in a game is a low blow.

Rob mentioned that Natalie has done a good job integrating with other groups, so she might stay a while much like Sandra did. However, assuming Yam Yam gets banished, she's almost certainly going to be taken out based on the assumption there must be at least one gamer Traitor.

This season also suffers a bit being up against the UK version which is delightfully bonkers this season.
