Photo update as of Sunday, Sept 6. View from the Orange parking garage, with Planet Hollywood off to the left of this photo. The Lime parking garage is in the background.

From the upper level of Planet Hollywood, this building will be adjacent to the Orange parking garage pedestrian plaza (shown in the left foreground of the above photo). The white insulated frames used in the construction of this building are lined up in the foreground in the below photo. The pedestrian crossover at Buena Visa Drive is in the background.

The pedestrian plaza is taking shape next to Plant Hollywood. This is an extension of the plaza in front of the Orange parking garage and around the existing water fountain.

In this close-up, three concrete planter forms along the construction fence will mirror the ones already in place on the other side of the fence with the trees.

The new bridge over Disney Springs, which is between Morimoto Asia and Raglan Road, has forms and reinforcements for surface paving.

Can't really hide construction. But, once it's complete, the balloon will show it all as facades with nasty roofs with AC equipment, etc... I know, I know, I'm being too picky. But I still dislike it. :)
The balloon was there first so the design could have considered that view.

Is that what led to the demise of the Skyway buckets? I think about that a lot. People could see roofs and the magic is dead?

It looks like they are working hard to get the area in front of Morimoto finished... They probably want to make sure the view from the restaurant is 'cleaned up' as soon as possible.

I've never seen helicopters fly that close to Disney Springs before...unless they have some amazing telephoto lens. I REALLY hope these are not from a drone, though.

Just guessing it was from the Characters in Flight Balloon, but when I looked at the pics on the DaMouse site, there are pics of the balloon from above.

Nope. If you look at the pictures on the website, you can see that balloon grounded in one of the pictures. So this is definitely from something else in the sky.

On an unrelated note....these pictures really begin to show how MASSIVE this place is going to be when completed. I really had no idea until I saw these. Does anyone know how many acres this is for comparisons sake?

The whole disney springs area including the roadway is 167 acres.
The town center area is around 28 acres.

to give you an idea MK is only 113 acres if you just include guest reachable areas.

Used this do-hicky to figure it out. http://www.daftlogic.com/projects-google-maps-area-calculator-tool.htm

It's a smaller area than I thought.
