The "Stop taking pictures! You look like a tourist!!!!" November Trip Report

I'm finally ready to start!!!!

If you want to read my PTR here's the link
Oh and one thing: I took A LOT of pictures so this is going to be a lengthy TR sorry :). I'm trying to make this take a while so I finish right before we go in December

Day 1:
We woke up at 6 am. Well, my mom, dad, and sister did. No one woke me and Daniel up! They assumed we had set an alarm and would wake up on time! Thankfully I woke up from excitement at 6:15. I woke Daniel up and we both walked into my parents room and told them we were not happy with them at the moment haha. We kept saying that the plan all along was to leave us behind!

DSC02546.jpg

A really blurry picture of Ashley while we were waiting for my parents

DSC02547.jpg

Daniel ready to leave!

DSC02548.jpg
Me! Can you tell we're all excited???

Me and Daniel got ready in 5 minutes, by 6:20 the car was packed and we were driving out of our complex!

We stopped at Cracker Barrel in Ft. Pierce, which is our about half-way point
DSC02549.jpg
One of the ONLY pictures you'll see of my parents, so I had to post it:)
DSC02550.jpg
I have a gorgeous best friend don't I? Just to warn you all, there will be many pictures of us with some weird faces, it's hard for the 3 of us to take normal pictures lol. Before I took this picture Daniel was saying how we needed to decide on our food faster because we have some dates with a mouse, I know why he's my best friend!
DSC02552.jpg
One last picture before 3 full sized teenagers cram into the backseat of a Kia! It was a tight drive, but it was worth it
DSC02554.jpg
Da Loop! On our last trip for Daniel and I's graduation, Me and Daniel drove my mom's car and my parents drove Ashley and her friend in another car. Daniel screamed out DA LOOP when we drove past the loop, so now we always have to take a picture of the sign. And it means we're close to WDW
DSC02559.jpg
Can you tell we're excited?
DSC02560.jpg
I warned you... haha. We were passing the time
DSC02561.jpg
Ash getting prepared for Shingle Creek
DSC02562.jpg
And Daniel... getting ready for it too? I think lol

Food & Wine Part 2:

So after we ate the Spinach and Paneer Pocket we we're off to the next stop! We went to the Cheese stand, I remember there were a lot of people over here so I guess I forgot to take a picture. Me and Daniel split the fondue with sourdough bread. I love it and get it every year. Ash hates it so she skipped it. Daniel liked it. But, by this time of the day, it was around 1:30 and really hot outside. Hot cheese and hot sun don't go well together. Ashley got in line for Germany while we got our fondue and got the apple strudel. It was good, I stole a bite.

Poland:

I got the Kielbasa and Potato Pierogie
DSC02739.jpg
Sorry for the shadow, I didn't realize when I was taking it. I loved the presentation with the sour cream Mickey! It was delicious. I was happy after eating it

Daniel got the Zapiekanki, which took us asking 2 different CMs to figure out how to say it. I still mess it up sometimes. It was surprisingly great, it looks slightly funny but tastes great.

Fife and Drum:

Daniel got the pumpkin mousse, which he was a little surprised when he got it...
DSC02740.jpg
Haha, I told him it wasn't going to be big, but he doubted me. He really liked it, just wished there was more to like.

Ashley being the seafood freak that she is got the Lobster Claw Cuddler
DSC02741.jpg
Which is a lot bigger than it was last year! I was mad I didn't get that because it turned out to be huge.

I got the Lobster Roll
DSC02742.jpg
Which was amazing. I'm a huge seafood fan. So I love anything with it on it. The flavors we're really good. and I will probably get it every year now :)

After that, we we're getting full so we decided to take a break and watch one of the best shows I think is in WDW, the American Adventure. I've always loved this show, even when I was little. No one else in my family really likes it except my mom so I never get to watch it. Good thing Daniel was there, he loves it too and we outnumbered Ashley :)
DSC02743.jpg
I love the ceiling in there And a mirror picture!
DSC02745.jpg
I'm shocked that the 3 of us actually went this long without taking one. We're teenagers, all we do is take pictures in mirrors lol.

The show was amazing as usual. I always get emotional during the 2 brothers part, and the end. It's just amazing to see how our country has evolved and gotten through so much.

So after we got our patriotism on, it was off for more food

Daniel wanted Ceviche so he got some at Florida, no picture :/ I had a bite, it tasted like shrimp with salsa... not the best.

Japan:

My family is huge sushi eaters, so me and Ash we're all over that. I got two of the rolls
DSC02746.jpg
This was the Karaage Hand Roll, it was good, it had chicken in it. I'm not a huge fan of cooked meat in sushi, I like fish in it. But, for what it was, I liked it.

DSC02747.jpg
This was possibly the best sushi I have ever had in my life. It's the Spicy Hand Roll. I think it said it was a mix of Tuna and Salmon with volcano sauce. As soon as I read volcano sauce I knew it'd be great. I absolutely loved it if you couldn't tell already. I was so full but made myself finish it because it would be wrong to let something so good go to waste.

That's all the food we got to that day, but we're not done yet! The end of day 2 will be coming soon :)

End of Day 2: So, after we stuffed ourselves to capacity, it was around 2:10 and our FP's for Soarin' were good! So off we went. Now, Soarin' use to be my favorite ride at Epcot, but after a while, it gets pretty boring to me. Especially if you go as much as my family, maybe it's just us. But, it's not a ride I say I have to go on when I go to WDW. I really wish they'd change the video to Soarin' over FL or the national parks. California is really nice, but it's been the same since I was in 5th grade, I'm in college now. But, that's just my opinion.

So we got in the FP line, and walked.... and walked..... and walked some more. Has anyone else noticed how long that line is to walk????

So we finally got to where they take the FP from you and got in line with the standby people.
DSC02748.jpg
Me creepin' on Daniel
DSC02751.jpg
Some more funny faces.

Then Daniel said something he now regrets... lol. He said that where I was standing, it made my hair look like Ariel's... Well, the Little Mermaid, is one of my favorite Disney movies. I was a competitive swimmer for 11 years, and then had to quit because of an injury, I was given a really unfair ultimatum for a 16 year old. Either quit swimming, which was my life, or not be able to carry and pretty much take care of my future children, because I wouldn't be able to use that arm.... Well because of that, I relate to Ariel. It sounds crazy, I know. But I do. And I recently dyed my hair a redish color. Well he said that and I made him take pictures so I can see haha. And here's what I got....
DSC02752.jpg
It's a horrible picture of me haha, I was still talking. But yeah, I didn't see it at all, but he still swears I have Ariel hair here. Whatever haha.

We rode Soarin', it was good, we got the top row which always makes it better. You don't have to see people's feet dangling. We needed to leave to go back to the room, to rest for a bit, have a snack, then the concert!

We got on a bus to WL. Walked our secret back way to our room, made Ashley go open the door and we stood out on the patio waiting for her to open the door. We all got in, took our shoes off, put on some sweat pants. We all sat down and I said "I really want a cupcake." Well of course they all agreed. So off to the QS place at the resort.

This is what I got
DSC02754.jpg
Chocolate caramel cupcake. OMG it was so rich, but so good

Daniel got the S'mores cupcake and we each cut ours in half and traded. His was alright, it tasted like carrot cake, but the top was marshmallow fluff and it was toasted, that was great, and it had hershey bars in it. I liked mine the best :)

After we all ate some more, we all laid down and said let's take a nap. Well, we all were hopped up on sugar. Not the best idea we had this trip. I set and alarm for 4:45, after 30 minutes of talking and yelling and laughing. We all passed out. I woke up and freaked out because I thought we slept passed when we were suppose to. I was wrong, haha. We got up at 4:45 and got ready for the concert. My parents we're letting us drive over so we wouldn't have to deal with buses at 11 pm. I was excited, I love driving on WDW property. It makes me feel more grown up haha.

We got to DTD, we weren't expecting that many people at the concert, because well it's Disney, no one comes to WDW for a concert. Then we remembered that we were in Orlando, not too far from where the band is from.... uh oh. We we're shocked when we walked up and saw what we had to wait in....
DSC02755.jpg
Yeah, we we're pretty far away from HOB. We thought no one liked these bands, they're not that well known. Or at least they're not where we're from. But we were fine with it. We were still going to see them :)
DSC02757.jpg
Finally a nice one of us! Atleast we got seats for the show. It was a good show, I'll stop talking about it now because I know none of you are here to hear about some band haha.

One last picture,
DSC02776.jpg
It was pretty crowded :p

After it was done, it was about 11, and we wanted to get our apples that I was talking about earlier. We raced to the Candy Cauldron. Everyone else from the show raced to the band's bus, not us, we wanted Mickey apples. I got caramel, chocolate, with m&m's, so did Daniel, Ashley got with heath bar.

Once we got back to the car, we did something we've never done before, drove off property for food... GASP. We were hungry and didn't have the funds to spend on food on property, it's atleast $12 per person for us, and we can't get free dining because of DVC. We went to the crossroads across the street from DTD entrance, I dropped Ash and Daniel, at McDonald's and I got Taco Bell. We drove back to the room, ate in the dark because my parents were asleep.... that was fun. Took showers and passed out. The next morning was a really early one for us! :)

Day 3: MK, Fantasyland, and a day full of magic!!!!

Our plan was to wake up for park opening, I have never seen the welcome show and I really wanted to. Everyone woke up at 7 and took showers. We didn't check when MK opened that day, and we just assumed it was at 9. My parents were even with us because they wanted to see it too. We left the room at 8:15 and walked to the boat dock.

We had to wait no more than 5 minutes for a boat and we were off. I love Disney in the morning, the sun just seems to hit everything in the right spot and it all looks so beautiful and calm.

DSC02789.jpg
The WL dock

DSC02790.jpg
My beautiful... sister. My mom is the one behind her, we finally have a picture with them haha. Here's an example of the sun hitting everything..
DSC02793.jpg
I love this picture. What do the 3 of us do when we're bored on the way somewhere? Take pictures of course!
DSC02794.jpg
The sun makes my hair look orange lol. We rode by the Contemporary
DSC02797.jpg
We want to stay at Bay Lake Tower so badly, but it's hard to get in right now. So hopefully one day we'll stay there.
DSC02800.jpg
We finally docked at MK and got off the boat. They checked our bags and we got into the gate and were a little disappointed, the park had opened at 8, oh well, maybe I'll catch it in December.

Our first order of business once we got in the park was to go get Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom cards. We have never done this and we were ridiculously excited to start! My parents went to guest relations to see about the Fantasyland Preview, after I told them a million times that they weren't going to be able to get in no matter how hard they tried. So we got our cards, learned how to play, and were off.

My parents found us and told us that they couldn't get into the preview, of course I said "I told you!" When I had registered for the preview last month, I told them to leave their passes with me at home so I could register them, well they said that they didn't need to, that when they get home from work that night they'll be over to register... oh how naive they can be.. haha.

Barely anyone was in the park so we took some pictures...

disneynovember75.jpg

disneynovember76.jpg

I absolutely love this next one, the PP photographer told us to strike model poses.. and this is what he got.
..
disneynovember77.jpg

We walked down Mainstreet to the Partners statue. Of course I wanted pictures with it. While we waited for the Photopass photographer to be done with the other people in line we all took pictures with the castle on our own cameras. I only have mine
DSC02805.jpg
I hate the stupid crane....
DSC02807.jpg
Love it <3

It was our turn!

disneynovember78.jpg

disneynovember80.jpg

DSC02808.jpg
After all the pictures, we ventured off to Liberty Square for something we have all been waiting for. The waffle sandwiches!!!!

We weren't that hungry so we all decided to split the fresh fruit and nutella waffle.

The before picture
DSC02811.jpg
And after...
DSC02813.jpg
As you can tell, we didn't like it at all... haha, yeah right, it was delicious!

After finally experiencing the waffle, we wanted to ride HM, the line was 10 minutes, which we all know means that no ones there and that it'll take you 10 minutes in the preshow and walking to your buggy.
DSC02815.jpg
Ashley wanted to walk through the graveyard que so to the left we went. Now this next picture has a little backstory, Daniel and I call each other Twinith, because we consider ourselves the same person, we like all the same things, act the same way, only understand each other haha, and we're really similar so when we saw the busts of the twins we had to take a picture...
DSC02820.jpg
I kinda felt bad for Ashley, she was our photographer for this trip :)
DSC02822.jpg
Ashley is like a little kid in this que, she plays with everything, when she saw me taking the picture, she tried to run.
DSC02825.jpg
This tombstone cracked me up haha. My family is huge Florida Panther fans, and Ashley's favorite player was Gregory Campbell, well he was traded a few years ago to the Bruins and she was pretty upset. So I said "look Ash, it's a tombstone for Campbell's career as a Panther!" She was kinda mad at me for that one, I thought it was great. I'm a bad sister, I know

No pictures on the ride, it's pretty hard to get pictures on there without a flash, although one lady on the ride didn't get that memo and was taking flash pictures. Well Daniel and I, being the good Disney lovers that we are, looked at her in the buggy next to us and said "Really? Please don't ruin this ride for everyone else with that. Flash photography is NEVER allowed on rides!" She got kinda mad at us but she'll get over it eventually. At least she stopped!

The ride was good, it didn't stop at all! We got off and made our way over to the castle to start saving MK!

Thanks! We're staying at Old Key West from the 11-16. What about you?? And it should be, hopefully. Our December trips have varied, one year it was below freezing and the next year was shorts all day long! But so far, Florida's been pretty good with warm during the day, sweatshirt at night. hopefully it stays.

Nice! We are at All Star Sport from 12/12-12/17. This was a spur of the moment trip sort of. We were just there for 10 days in May! LOL

I know same here. I love Disney around Christmas time, but the weather is so hot or miss... When we were there is Dec '08 we were in shorts the entire week, then when we were there in Dec '10 FL had that cold snap and we literally frozen our rearends off the entire trip. 40 degrees and colder is not ideal Disney weather in my eyes! :D

Your TR is so much fun - keep up the good work! And great job on the F&W photos. I haven't been to WDW for F&W since 2007 and now I realize I really need to get back!

I'm getting ready for a long weekend in WDW with my sister (January 18-21), so for now I'm living vicariously through your TR, lol.

haha, oh Florida weather. Love to hate it. I do hope for both of our trips that it's nice weather while we're there!

Yay, thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it :) It was hard to take pictures of all the food before I ate it, but I kept saying to myself "trip report!"

I always live through other people's TR before I go, it makes the time go by a lot faster!

Thanks! No, I don't have a video, they don't let you take one, and my dad tried the first time I did it, and got yelled at, so my family is afraid to do it now lol. It is a great experience though! I've auditioned 6 times and have made it 3 of them. I say go for it!!!!

Day 3 cont!: Now we were off to save the MK! We had never played the Sorcerer's of the MK game before and we were really excited. Our first quest took us to right behind the castle.

DSC02834.jpg
I have always loved the way that they designed the backside of the castle, with the windows and everything.

While the game explained to us what was going on I took some pictures..
DSC02835.jpg
DSC02836.jpg
DSC02837.jpg

DSC02838.jpg

DSC02839.jpg

One we had defeated Maleficent, it sent us to Adventureland. And we were off!

Just then Brian, who is briangwen7 on here (It wont let me tag him in here, not sure why :() , texted me saying he was in MK, he told me he was walking to Adventureland from the entrance. We decided to meet up there. But since we were already there, we wanted to ride Jungle Cruise.

While in line, we got our first and only one of these
DSC02840.jpg

The ride was great, our skipper was hilarious. Of course there were the corny Disney jokes, but he added some of his own, the 3 of us loved him. And he made everyone on the boat clap for our shirts... haha. Two days before we left, we all had a tie dying party, making our Mickey-Dye shirts.

I texted Brian, and they were on the Flying Carpets of Aladdin, and our new quest took us to a portal right behind it. It took us a few minutes but we finally found each other! lol. They were going to go on BTM and we wanted to finish our quest, so we decided to meet up later.

After running all around Adventureland, I swear, that game is the best workout ever! and learning about trading the cards and different things in the game, we were off to Frontierland for BTM and SM. BTM had a 50 minute line so we got FP, SM only had about 20 minutes so we hopped in line for that.

DSC02843.jpg

We have this tradition, that on rides with pictures, we all have to do the same face.. well on this one, Daniel and I chose it. Our college recently had an assembly about the DCP and we talked to some students who had done it after and the asked us to show them our best "Disney Smile" well we did, and they said BIGGER. So that's a joke now for us. So on SM we decided to do Disney Smiles! and Here's what we got, it's not the best picture but I tried lol
DSC02844.jpg

Ashley kinda failed haha, we're in the first 2 rows.

On the ride, no one got wet because well, it was a coolish day, but my knee was under where the two like cushions meet above the lap bar and water kept running down it onto my knee, I got off with a soaked knee! Nothing else but my knee lol. And I had jeans on, not fun.

After our ride, we were off to Liberty Square again!

I'm ready to continue! This weekend was crazy so sorry for the wait. I work in retail and black Friday schedules came out, but then were changed, and I pretty much was at my job like 3 times this weekend. But now were back to WDW!

Day 3 Cont!

After we rode Splash, we were getting hungry, we didn't get to eat everything we wanted at F&W so we left MK and waited for a Monorail. I was so excited when I saw which one we were going to ride! I didn't get a picture of it but, we got to ride the Avengers Monorail!!!
DSC02845.jpg
The Avengers took us to T&TC and we then hopped on the Epcot Monorail

Once we got in the gate, we went straight back to the WS. We loaded more money onto our gift cards. We all got in line for Hawaii. There were a lot more people there on this day because it was a Saturday, so all the lines were long for each kiosk so I took some pictures
DSC02846.jpg
DSC02847.jpg

Hawaii

Daniel got the Tuna Poke
DSC02848.jpg
I didn't get a bite of it, but he liked it

I got the Kalua Pork Slider
DSC02849.jpg
It was amazing!!!! I don't like pineapple, but I loved it on this.

Our plan was to go the opposite way we did the day before so we could get to all the food we didn't get to on Friday. So up next was

Desserts & Champagne

A picture while in line
DSC02850.jpg
I only wanted one dessert
and that was the dark chocolate mousse with chili and salted caramel
DSC02851.jpg
It was delicious! I wished I had gotten 2.

Ashley got all 3 of the desserts at the kiosk, but I didn't take any pictures of what they got lol.

Then we went on to possibly the kiosk with the biggest line that day

Greece The line did move quickly so it wasn't a problem at all.

I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki
DSC02852.jpg
I was so excited to eat it that I forgot to take a picture until I had already eaten some of it... and it was kinda messy because we didn't have a table so it got on my finger as you can see.... lol

Because of how long the lines were we ate our Greek food in line for.....
Canada

Daniel was ready for this kiosk, I just wanted one thing and one thing only...
DSC02853.jpg
My cheddar cheese soup! I get it every year we go and even though it was pretty hot out by this time of day and hot soup didn't help that, I still enjoyed it

Daniel got one of everything here and tried to carry it all....
DSC02854.jpg
He carried it all with a little bit of my help lol and we shared a table with some people from Orlando who were here for the day just because they had never done it, they were cool and were asking us questions about different things. It was enjoyable haha.

Ireland

Probably my favorite kiosk at F&W, I'm Irish, and I've always loved the food. Whenever my family tells me to make dinner, it's Shepherd's Pie. And like most things, I always get the Fisherman's Pie from here
DSC02855.jpg
Last year, Ash and I got our own one of these as we usually do, well she was really mad last year because she got no lobster in her pie and I had pretty much a whole claw in mine. Well this year she wouldn't shut up about how unfair it was last year and guess what happened again....
DSC02856.jpg
She was not a happy camper lol, but she still liked it. She had some lobster, but being the seafood junkie that she is, it can never be enough.

By this point in the day, the lines and heat were getting to us, the heat cause we were all in jeans. So we decided we wanted to go back to the room and take a nap. But first we had to get something from France so off we went for our last food items from F&W.

France

I got the Escargot
DSC02857.jpg
Ashley and Daniel both got the Chocolate Creme Brulee

We ate our food while in line for the boat in Morocco that takes you back to the entrance of WS. We were all exhausted and it was only 2!

We made our way back to WL, I set an alarm for 4:45 and we all passed out, it was a good thing we napped because we had a huge night ahead of us... Fantasyland Preview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
